^^I almost hate to say this, as I know I'm projecting my crazy MIL experiences onto you, but are you positive she's even being honest about what the doctor said? I mean, technically, she could come home and tell you the doctor said pretty much anything if she thought it would help her manipulate you both into doing exactly what she wants...

Don't doubt it, but what can I do? Confronting her usually makes things worse than just ignoring her.

I totally understand that. I'm sorry because I know how frustrating it must be for you. I hope R opens his eyes eventually and realizes that he must put a stop to this. In the meantime, I hope she doesn't drive you completely batty.

I'm sending sympathy waves your way.

The thing is, R really dislikes her for the most part. While he'd like to put a stop to it, she won't let him.

The biggest thing is that she makes incredibly bad financial decisions if he isn't there to basically make them for her. (then she will have the nerve to bitch about how he made the decision) And since she's 67, he doesn't want her making these horrible decisions that could impact us severely if/when she passes away. Like if she did tomorrow, we'd be stuck with about 50 grand worth of her debt and that would be horrible with our current BK AND no will on her part.

If she truly has hypertension (high BP) the doc will Certainly prescribe some meds for her. If she has no BP meds, it's a line of malarky she's feeding you.

I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

She just got the meds and seems to be doing better.

Maybe the meds will help? My grandma's on BP meds as well, though she is otherwise sane, she does seem to have gotten a lot more chill as of late. Though she's 81, so that could be it as well.

Maybe move the MIL to Illinois? And you guys stay somewhere else? Hang in there! Almost to Tucson...
