    Angry Mc Donalds

ok rant. I Knew Mc Donalds hierd stupid people..I justdidn't know they were actually this stupid.
I order hotcakes and a diet coke. I get hotcakes and a diet coke. No straw, no fork, no syrup or butter. I ask for all of those items. The girl says, " Oh, sorry. It's my first shift, I didn't know"
I was in a very foul mood from work, and I apologize for being so mean, but I said to her, " really? You didn't know I needed a fork for pancakes? really? don't you use a fork when you eat pancakes? Don't yu use syrup on pancakes? You really didn't know I needed a straw to drink my drink?"
She said, I 'm sorry. they haven't trained me yet, it's my first shift."
Doesn't common sence say when you eat pancakes you need a fork???

I knew MC donalds hired stupid people...but wow. holy fuck. a monkey could do better.

Ummmm, ok, don't overgeneralize.... "I" worked at McD's 2x when I was desperate.

-Not everyone has syrup with their pancakes believe it or not.
-First days are nerve wracking. McD's is no exception. If you've ever worked the breakfast rush there you'd forget simple stuff too.

Sorry you had a bad time.

Eh there's stupid people everywhere. I once went to a computer store and asked if they had any wireless mice. He gave me an ink cartridge.

    "No... wireless mice."
    "Yes... in black or colour?"
    "Wire....less....mice...."
"What kind of printer do you have?"
"I want to see your other mice...."
    "What? Inkjet?"
"No...clicky clicky.... open folder..." *makes motion*
    "You mean a MOUSE?!"
"Yes, that WOULD be the singular of mice."

..and then he showed me the plug-in kinds.

Actually, I dont eat syrup on my pancakes! On the rare occassions I eat them, I prefer grape jelly. Syrup is way too sugary for me. BUT...I know I am the exception and the default would be to give someone syrup when they order pancakes.

Best one ever...when I was a kid I went to dinner at a diner with my parents. Waitress comes to take drink orders. My mom orders a cup of coffee. Waitress asks "Do you want a cup with that?". Mom looks at her...cups her hands together and says "No...thats ok, just pour it right here"

And people wonder where I get my smartass streak from!

She probably meant that she was stressed out with all the stuff going on that giving you a fork and stuff wasn't her top priority (of course, she'd get her ass chewed for telling you that) with the five other orders on her mind and the people in the back not making them quickly enough... or too quickly so that stuff gets backed up... or the person before you who just yelled at her because his fries were cold. My first job was at Burger King and oooooo my god. People assumed that I spoke Spanish, got pissed when I didn't, always seemed to be in a foul mood, had the most UNRULY KIDS EVER, and I could tell that they thought I was stupid or something, just because I worked at a fast food restaurant and I couldn't understand them over the craziness going on around me (or their damn screaming kids). The horror!

She probably just got overwhelmed with orders and forgot to put in all the "trimmings". When I had my first day at Carl's Jr. several years ago that would have been my reason for not having the stuff in there..

I had a McDonald's employee say racist comments to me. He did give me a straw, though.

It was 3am. I was the only car in the drive through...
Had it been busy, had she simply forgot, I would understand. We all forget stuff. I worked at Subway before. I've worked at Wendy's. I forgot stuff all the time. But it was that she didn't know I needed the fork, not that she simply forgot.

The worst Mc Donalds experience i ever had was when I tried to order the pancakes and he didn't know what I meant. He didn't speak Elgnish, which is cool. I don't mind. But I do wish they would have not put him on the drivethrough speaker. I don't speak Spanish. I had to pull foward and ask to speak with someone else who could take my order, and I felt really bad, and also agitated that I couldn't order my damn pancakes.

But yeah..I was just in the foulest mood ever last night and that just topped it off.

Yeah I can relate to this. I worked at McDonalds for a few years when I was in high school. There is so much to learn on the first day, especially with all of the different combo/value meals and all the buttons on the touch-button register, so it is easy to get overwhelmed and forget common sense items like forks. I am VERY surprised that they would leave this girl alone on her first day. I had someone right by my side for my first few days, helping me identify some of the keys and running the food for me as I took orders! Either this is a horribly managed McDonalds and they were extremely shortstaffed, or else the girl lied by saying it was her "first day" so she wouldn't look so stupid. If this occured in the drive-thru, then I can nearly guarantee you that it really wasn't her first day...nobody goes in drive-thru until at least a few weeks(or months) later.

But I do hear you about McDonalds workers screwing up. LOL I have a few McDonalds locations on my "boycott" list because they would either screw up my order or they'd constantly be "out" of many menu items, on MULTIPLE occasions. There were other times where I would call up management and complain. Hey, I was THE nicest most enthusiastic McDonalds worker...so now I feel entitled to great service or else! LOL.

Just for the record...I've noticed that the McDonalds lacking drive-thrus usually hire the stupidest people. This has seemed to prove true in various different towns/cities, too.

I hope your day got better after that.

I know a lot of us look at fast food work as a stupid person's job. But in any job like that, there's an almost mechanized routine one has to perform in order to be proficient at it, in fact businesses will often train their employees to do it that way. I can see where somebody on their first day of work wouldn't have the drill down quite yet.

And personally, I prefer it when restaurants put the plasticware, straws and condiments out where you can grab whatever you need yourself. Its just less hassle that way. Another reason that I don't like to use the drive-thru unless I have to.

LOL I can relate to this! I worked at McDonalds for almost two years. The worst thing about McDonalds(be VERY glad you didn't have this at Burger King!) had to be those damn Beanie Baby happy meal toys. Those toys were in such demand and customers would come into the place in swarms to get them, and then get mad when we were sold out of the variety they wanted. I learned to hate Beanie Babies with a passion because of McDonalds, referring to them as "beanie fuckers" lol. Ugh.

Okay that explains a lot. The fact that she was in the drive-thru tells me that it most likely was NOT her first day, despite her claims. They don't just dump "first day" employees at the drive-thru window, especially by themselves without a mentor/trainer by their side. It also strikes me as odd that they would have her working 3am(graveyard shift) on her very first day too, since first day of training at McDonalds usually lasts for about 2 hrs and the graveyard shift runs 11pm-7am. Odds are, she was lying because she realized how stupid she looked, or because she wanted you to feel bad and shut up.

In that case, the girl WAS probably either plain dumb, the nervous type who says dumb goofy things without thinking due to social anxiety, or stoned. From my experience and my friends' experiences working there, most McDonald employees are huge potheads or cokeheads...after all, how else are they going to deal with such a tedious annoying job? LOL.

Omg, I was working at BK during the Pokemon craze. They had these little plastic pokemon balls with different cards in them. You could also buy these special "gold" cards for a couple of bucks. Grown men and women were actually yelling at me because I wouldn't break open a new box of kids meal toys, dig through them and open them... just because their stupid kid already had the toy that they just got. I've actually had people who went through the DRIVE-THRU turn around, and walk back into the store. I felt like saying, "Oh you have that one already? Well, do you know what that means? THAT MEANS YOU COME HERE TOO MUCH YOU FATASS!"

Ok wandering here but Happy Meals! Have ya'll SEEN the lil plush animals they have now? Someone dropped one on the side of the road recently (I'm notorious for rescuing toys) and it had to be... the SADDEST looking thing... lil bunny with the most pathetic facial expression. Who makes heart breaking toys?????

LOL yeah that's pretty bad. Definitely worse than what I was picturing...

One of my worst fast food experiences was when I had ordered some KFC from my car. A bit later I decided I wanted to have a milkshake, so I pulled into the drive-thru for an El Pollo Loco. I ordered my milkshake, and then I realized I didn't have forks or knives for my chicken. So I asked the drive through lady if she would mind giving me some plasticware and maybe a plate or even a little plastic tray.

She didn't say "I'm sorry but that is against company policy, but I'll do you a favor", rather proceeded to lecture me.

"Why do you need these things? You didn't order any entrees. You shouldnt be asking for this stuff. I shouldnt give this to you. Why do you need this again? You just drove up here, ordered a milkshake, and now you're asking me to give you forks??" As she scowled. Then she said because she's sooooooo forgiving, she'll fulfill my request. I wanted to complain about her but she was a shift manager so when she went away to go put the lid on my shake I drove off.

If she apologized and you got the items I'd call it a success. Sure, they aren't the best at customer service but for minimum wage I wouldn't really give a shit either.

Who do you think are the workers McDonalds needs to hire?

Businesses make profits from hiring workers at the lowest wage that corresponds to the amount of skill/training/education they require. Those having more than that minimum will soon or eventually find better jobs, as they outgrow what they were hired in - that could mean promotions or resignations - for fitting into 'better' jobs (more money of other rewards). You'd think that most anyone could work at McDonalds, but obviously some people just dont have the brainpower and/or dexterity, even if they wanted those jobs. Some others are just plain inattentive (most commonly what I observe). Finally there is the mater of poor/lack of training.

Consider what you get is reflected in the price of their goods. Correct them courteously or risk getting something foreign in your food.

I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.
