Default Life Lessons I've learned from StripperWeb

This idea came to me at lunch - there's all sorts of things I've learned about life in general, distilled from lessons learned over and over again in threads on SW.

I'll start out with a couple of ideas and anyone else can chip in...

    1. Don't pay any attention to the other dancers; work on your own hustle.
    2. Nice guys don't announce how nice they are.
    3. What happens in private dances, stays in private dances.
    4. Mileage is relative.

    9) More intellectually stimulating conversations take place on this board than in any of my university classes (at a top 20 school)

...Stripperweb ruined work for me- I am surrounded by women who make up the disturbing overheard convos in the SG threads "Overheard in the dressing room" and "Stripper Hall of Shame."

I wouldn't be threatened by a room full of SW-grade dancers- most would do their job and not cause the stomach-curdling incidents that make me crave retirement...

If you give him the opportunity he's gonna touch it. People can't help themselves.

That YOU TOO can be a pole-polishing Goddess in your own home. Just ask Alena Downs, SassySummer, or Callyish!

That being a bitch at times can earn you big money from guys who like that.

That it really is true that the little head has no concept of money.

    How to do your taxes.

That this chick with the icon of the girl with really big tits in some lucky dude's lap is Miss Money Goddess (Talkin' to you, Melonie)

That one man can inspire orgasms by his impromptu erotica. (That would be you, TOO)

That Portland is almost a stripping Mecca as Vegas is.

shoving a clove of garlic up your gine, whilst not being the most effective cure for a raging yeast infection, is a hilarious story to tell around the workplace.

That there is an almost infinite number of men who still get fooled by SS and make posts saying "does she really like me?", thinking their situation is unique.

That this forum is full of awesome, talented, intelligent and fun people.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

A night of pampering at home consists of:
    an asprin mask
Coffee grounds rubbed into your body and covered in plastic wrap
Avacodo mashed up in your hair
followed by a long soak in a Lush bath.

( yes..I have pics of this. No, I will never, ever post them again. I think people died of fright the night I posted those pics)

Oh, my most important SW lesson: A girl cannot live without Lush. It's like a fish living without water.

I learned that I can become irrevokably attatched to people on the internet, even if I have never seen a picture or know their real name. And love them like they were family, counting on them when I need help.

If you aren't hungry for sushi/mac n cheese/BLT/Thai right now, give it about three posts.

There are no bad times of year to work. (Conversely for the Negative Nancies, all times of year are bad times to work.)

    Jenny is right.

Hot girls fart. In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion they fart more than anyone else!

Regardless of your level of income, you will always want more.
