    Default Warshington DC

I totally searched, but nothing 'DC' specific came up.

I'll be in DC for a week this spring for some schooly stuff. I'm gonna buy my ticket soon, and wondered if it was worth adding a few days on to my trip to work out there? I'll have my evenings off, and could add 2 weekends into the trip.

So what's it like? I'd be interested if I could reasonably expect $500-ish a night average, mostly from stage tips and lapdances. Wont be able to get a license, no chain clubs. I'm used to airdances, but could do a bit of contact if it's not obscene.

    Thanks!

^ reaaaally? That's is good news for me, I'm a stage-only kind of gal. Will be fine with less money if I only have to do stage. Club rec's?

ive never worked in dc, but i dont know how they are about girls dropping in. TOO can probably give you info about camelot, one of the nicer dc clubs, if i remember correctly, but I know they're super strict about schedules.

i dont know how much money you'll make off only a few shifts though. from what i know, dc is very regular based. so i dont know if it's worth it to add time to stay here.

There is one club in DC (at least was when I lived in Baltimore) where you can do $20 TABLE dances. Literally on top of the large, low, sturdy tables in front of couches. Might check out Nexus Gold Club I visited as a custy once and it was a pretty nice club, large. They also had a CR so earnings potential could be good.

I think they all operate on a schedule, kind of like the smaller clubs in Portland where you might have to audition and then wait for the next work week to get on the schedule. So not very easy to drop in on, or even to audition and work the next night.

nexus has been closed for a few years now.. the manager has been working at scores since it opened.

I am from DC, lived there until i was 22. And I know nothing about the clubs there except what I have learned from Stripper Web. I have danced in Balto though. I have heard about Camalot and Good Guys from here. I have heard they are good clubs and good clubs tend to want you to be legit. But, I'd say go ahead and call them, send them photos. See if they can work you in. Maybe TOO has some pull???

Go dancing in Adams Morgan! Go to Georgetown and Dupont. When in Dupont go to Teaism for some tea. FBI museum, National Gallery, Philips art museum (in dupont). Are you going with classmates? You can always call my sister!

Are there clubs in Bethesda, MD? That's a pretty populated area, and just a stop off the Metro away.

I lived there from 93-99. Its not a "pay a stage fee and drop in" club scene. Its a "you schedule yourself and it takes a few weeks to work your way to the good shift" scene. Camelot is the nicest club in town. I lived a block from GoodGuys and would walk past it every day on the way to the gym. I also recall a place called Archibalds in downtown. Across the river in VA there is Crystal City Restaurant. I think they allow lapdances....but I don't really know.

For the most part, I think DC girls travel elsewhere to dance or do private parties.

Maybe I'm the only DC dancer?
To confirm what's been said, yeah, don't bother extending. You can't drop in anywhere around here, unless it's Baltimore, maybe WV. No lapdances, No table dances, stage only. Things are not good in DC.
Many of the good DC clubs were torn down to make room for the damn stadium.

Good Guys - divy, dirty, bad management. I worked one day shift there, hurt myself on their dirty stage when I slipped and fell, and NOT ONE EMPLOYEE stopped to check on me. Also, someone was recently set on fire there.

JP's - Burned down not long ago, I imagine their dancers are flooding every other place.

Archibald's - I hear it's not bad, competition for Camelot, but I didn't like the look of it.

Camelot - I was working there, and was pretty happy with it. Definitely good to have regulars, but could still pull about $200 without them. HOWEVER; talking with regulars/loyal custies, quality of the club has gone very downhill. It's not so much upscale, it's falling to generic strip joint level. Quality of some dancers is not so good, very cliqueish atmosphere. Quality of customers has dropped A LOT, less suits and ties, more empty wallets. Management is not friendly, will not treat you like a person, mostly. I could go on about how the people running it keep screwing up, but I won't.
I'd advise everyone stay away from Camelot right now. It seems an SO is coming in and making things go bad faster, and you literally never know how you stand.
I've spent the last two weeks fighting thru bullshit just to see if I was fired or not, getting directly lied to, etc etc. They took me off the schedule, wouldn't let me "float" any shifts, and wouldn't tell me if I still had a job or not. Still haven't. I'm moving on, hopefully to Crystal City.

Crystal City Restaurant - Sports bar with naked girls. Am told by dancers there that, because it's a sports bar with naked girls, there's no strip club bullshit to deal with, you get treated like a person, have control over a lot more. Basically, left to do your own thing as long as there's no problems. It's a pastie and thong club, and I should be able to report more on it by next week, hopefully I'll have a full job there by then.

Sorry for the slight jack in the middle there, any other questions or whatnot, just ask.

    That's nice.

Awful of them to behave like that after slipped too. Def report back on the sports bar, good luck!

I agree with everything GoDiva said. I used to work at JPs before the fire, but the place turned ghetto over the past few months and money went way down. I've heard good things about Camelot, Archibalds, and CCR.

Baltimore is not that far from DC, and you can make a lot more there. Just avoid all of the skeezy Block clubs!

Huh, ok. Boo to no DC- I'm a stage dancer, I'd probably fit right in. But understandable about the scheduling in advance thing, it's like that here too.

How long would it take me to get from the mall-area (museum of natural history) to a decent baltimore club on the metro? I can work dives, but I'm not too good with contact.

im not sure how long it would take you, but im also not sure how you'll feel about the contact levels. there are no air dance clubs in baltimore. some are higher contact than others, but i havent worked in baltimore in 8 months, and a lot of changes have gone on recently in a lot of the clubs ive worked in.

night shift is very high contact, i wouldnt recommend it. plus they take a shitload of money from you.

hustler im not sure.. its deja vu so not sure how you feel on that.. i didnt dance there more than a week, but i waitressed there for a few months prior to that. the gm is now at the ritz, however, and i know a lot of changes have taken place with the new manager.

the ritz i havent been to since hustler's gm went there. i know they remodeled and things are a lot different, but they go through managers fast. hal will be there for a whlie im sure, but i cant give you contact details because i worked with a LOT of different people while i was there and things were constantly changing.

the gold club wont let you start the night you audition. not sure how they are if you tell them you'll only be there a week or whatever, either. even if you dont tell them, i have a feeling they check in on here from time to time. theres a link to sw from their clubs website, and when my friend said something about me to my old manager, he knew what club i was at now. (hi frank!) he told her he "has his ways." lap dances are lower contact, but rooms are higher, no matter what they tell you. i will say they have a camera at each and every booth in rooms, but im not sure that its worth your while either for the short time you'll be here. they have 5 different tiers of rooms and that might be confusing to deal with for a week or two. also has a drink hustle.

scores i havent worked at in too long to give you any helpful info, but i have been told that extras are pretty rampant. the stage is itty bitty, too, so as someone who likes stage best, i dont know how you'd feel about this place.

like i said, you might have trouble finding a club with contact that you feel comfy with. my club isnt in baltimore but guys are allowed to touch - no boobs or crotch - and lap dances are pretty much full friction.

also, another baltimore club is the wagon wheel and they allow boob touching. so thats a no go too. hope some of this helps, even if just to narrow down your search!

I think allof those clubs will want you to be legal!
They have enough of there own girls who are legal to work in the states to deal with.

Thanks for the help, everyone. It seems like it's all gonna be too complicated to bother with. I'll bring my shoes and a dress or two just in case, and suss it out when I get there.
