Spearmint Rhino fired me tonight as they believed that modelling for 'Dreams' was "biting the hand that feeds me", (even though they make over $60,000 a year off ME through house fees, room hire and cash-in fees alone) I understand that working in another club at the same time is a conflict of interest but i was NOT dancing, i was hired as a model for Dreams through my contacts for the Live 8 lifestyle festival and nowhere in my contract with Rhino does it state that i am not to work for another company. ( the new club isn't even open yet!!)
I was sent home without being even being able to start my last shift (they called me down to the office only AFTER i wasted all my time getting ready) to tell me i couldn't work.....if they had known previously they were going to fire me, why couldn't they have called me and told me not to bother coming in?????
Richard, Joanne and Eugene have all been very good to me throughout my stay there and with the exception of a few people, everyone and everything about the club has been fantastic. I just believe they could've at least let me finish my last shift in peace (i fly out to thailand in 20 hours and really could've done with the cash) i would not have caused trouble as i respect everyone there, or at least rung me and told me not to bother coming in to save the time, hassle, grief and embarrassment of having to empty my locker and leave atfer being there for twenty minutes infront of all the girls....![]()

ya'll r probably right. I know nothing about that! Kind of the same concept of not being allowed to work at both Staples and Kinko's, I guess.
