    Default "pancake" powder

How exactly does this shit work?

I bought a pancake powder by maxfactor to use at night, and it's too hard to use alone. Like rubbing the palet or brush over it, it wont budge.

I read on the back that you're suppose to use a wet sponge. I'm clueless, help. Huh..

It's like watercolor paint for your face! Use a wet sponge to pick up the powder and dab it on like foundation.

Sorry to drag this one up, but how did the powder work out? Good coverage? This MAC StudioFix is ruining my face and looks like crap but it's the only thing that covers up my scars.

Pancake is fantastic coverage and is good for oily or normal skin, but it sucks for dry skin. The thing I always liked about it is that you only need a tiny amount to cover everthing so it gives more of a real-skin look than most other full coverage foundations. By real-skin look I don't mean the dewy look, I mean kind of like Diorskin, matte and perfect but still showing your skins texture.

I wore it as a teenager and had no breakouts, but I did hear a few girls say it caused them, but with some people everything causes acne.

    HTH!

I scrape it with my nail & pat it on like that. lol. It's ok. I mean it does hold the shine, but it feels heavy. I use it when I tan bc it's dark. I love CoverGirl's powders. They don't make me break out.

I'm the same way. It gives such great coverage I only need a tiny bit. I love, love, love it. Alas, I have been to dry for the last few years and it makes my face feel like it's gonna crack. BOOOO!

I'm an oil slick. An absolute oil slick. I have to cake my MAC on because I have really bad scars and then I get greasy in like, an hour and it starts to accumulate in creases and rub off. My face looks totally awesome in club lighting but it's crap in daytime.
I can handle heavy feeling makeup. I'm used to that. I can't stand the rubbing-off and creasing. What's the name of this MaxFactor stuff? Can you get it at Walmart? Is it easy to apply? Can you open my milk for me?

It's called Pancake and you apply it with a wet sponge. It's pretty easy, but you may need to buff with a dry sponge or brush to remove any streaking if you like super heavy coverage. Another trick is to swipe for coverage, then dab to remove streaks. Play around with it a little if you've never used a foundation like this. It may take a little practice to figure out how wet to get your sponge for the best look and so forth.

You can get it at Walmart and I think it's $8 or $9. It won't rub off or crease, and will cover scars or just about anything else. It's actually the stuff they used to use on actresses to get that completely flawless look.

BTW - for drier skinned girls they have Panstick, which is basically the same thing, but in a moisturizing stick form. It is NOT oil free though, so if you are sensitive to oil you might wanna avoid this.

    LOL. Sure

This is the one I have, but in tan #1. http://store.facevaluesonline.com/086100024894.html

Try it, it may be good for your skin. It def. holds sweat. And like I said, it hasn't made me break out. I just don't like how heavy it feels.

I use to have super slick skin too before I went on accutane(which was last year). I use to oil up quick after an hour of washing as well, now my skin feels normal(a little on the oily side still but not as bad & uncomfortable as before) so I can't really say if it'll be good for super slick.

Wooo! That's hella cheap! Even if it doesn't work out for five bucks I wont be heartbroken over it.

Stupid oily skin ruins my life. The most fucked up thing about it is that I rarely get a pimple. I'm just greasy and scarred. Sucks. I need makeup! I SHALL NOT REST UNTIL I FIND THE PERFECT FOUNDATION! *steals away into the night*
