    Default Preventing claw-toe...

So I have long skinny feet and toes, and my toes always hang over the edge of my shoes!

My feet do slide a little (I usually wear open-toe Pleasers with an ankle strap and a 6" heel with 2" or so platform), but also sometimes it seems like the platform area from the ball of my foot to the end of my toes is just not long enough. My toes are freakish!

Anyone else with a similar issue? Do you have any shoe recommendations or other ideas?

They shouldn't hang over that much or else you're probably not wearing the right size shoe. Have you tried on bigger shoes? You could try making it look a little better with fishnets or something for the time being.

Nope. Happens to me too. Some of my shoes are size 9 and some size 10. Its because the band across the top of the foot is too wide so we slide forward.

The only fix Ive found is wearing dr. scholls padding in my shoes

Oh and Pleasers are the worst shoe for narrow feet.

Try Tony Shoes - theyre much much better.

This is exactly the issue... I will have to check out the Tony shoes. (Hooray! An excuse to get new shoes! ) I've also got shoes in 9 and 10. I can't imagine a larger size would help, but I've never tried an 11... I guess it wouldn't hurt to try some on.

What kind of Dr. Scholl's padding do you use?

My feet are flat and always slide forward in shoes so I end up with Flintstone toes. I'm over it...nothing I can do..I"ve tried the pad inserts and they still slide. So whatever. I'm still a hot Bedrock babe

I use those padded inserts that you only put at the toe. they work for me very well, until they get old and worn down.

Buying a larger size wont help - the band will just be larger. The toe inserts are what I use to add padding so my feet dont slide.

So you retired from dancing and started walking the streets - uhm, ok. Or was the street walking first?
