Default Post your typical daily diet

There are alot of threads about improving eating, and the different diets girls are trying/have tried, but I thought it would be helpful to have actual sample menus that girls (or guys) are following (breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc).

I get bored eating the same things every day, and end up failing on my diets. I thought this would be help with new healthy ideas.

Also, post if you're trying to lose/gain/maintain your weight.

I workout hard almost everyday and work 5 days a week. I eat a huge bowl of oatmeal w/ raisens, maple syrup, and soy milk.
    two pieces of fruit
soup, salad, bread at a cafe
    maybe a cookie
    GYM
before work veggie burrito, or subway veggie burger sub, or pasta, or a hearty veggie rice dish
    at work and energy bar
after work, premade salad from trader joes and oatmeal, or nuts and cereal, or yummy dinner food.

I EAT. I have a lot of muscle and my body fat is very low.

Just maintain. Eat enough at the right times to have a good workout and feel great at work.

I don't really have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I just eat when I'm hungry.

Generally, there is a lean cuisine in there somewhere (or that vegan chili, or a boca patty... just the patty), yogurt, and veggies and dip. I'm trying to lose weight.

I'm not trying to loose weight but I try and maintain what I've got. I'll just post what I had today as it changes a lot from day to day.

Breakfast - 2 cups of tea with soya milk and 2 small pieces of toast with humous.
Lunch - a huge baked potato with chicken, sweetcorn and guacamle. Also a glass of orange and lemonade.
Just had another cup of tea
Dinner - I'll probably just have some maple and pecan cereal with soya milk.

    Everyday Life

    Breakfast:
Coffee with Fiber One cereal and lite soy milk

    Lunch:
salad with spring mix, broccoli, carrots, tofu and nonfat dressing.

    Snack:
raw almonds or soy nuts (unsalted) and baby carrots

Dinner: 6 oz protein (usually fish), vegetables and whole wheat cous cous (or something similar)

I'm just trying to maintain but I wouldn't mind losing weight but I just can't obsess anymore about what I eat.

I do cheat when I go out to eat because I earned it!

    Working Diet

    Breakfast:
coffee with a low carb whole wheat bagel and reduced fat cream cheese

    Lunch/Dinner:
low fat tuna wrap with a whole wheat tortilla.

Snack (while at work): baby carrots, Luna bar, low fat string cheese

I usually lose a few pounds when I'm working, but I find I have more energy to work long hours when I don't eat much. Oh yeah, I also drink more when working too so that adds calories.

I just can't get into supplement food (protein shakes or bars etc )

I'm weird, I can eat the same thing everyday and be happy. I don't calorie count either, would trigger for OCD for me.

Maybe try eating the same thing for breakfast and lunch and change it up for dinner?

I also carry a banana and Fuji apple in my purse for emergency munchies

I have to eat every 4 hours or i get low blood sugar and pass out ( i'm hypoglycemic)

    breakfast- granola and soymilk
snack- dried fruit, or a fresh fruit smoothie
    lunch- salad with tofu/tempeh
snack- nuts and seeds or raw food bar
dinner- if i'm working it's mexican vegan food, if i'm not, it's indian my bf cooks (tofu with veggies and curry sauce over brown rice usually)

Once I save up for a nice blender and food processor and am in my new house that actually has a kitchen you can cook in (we have a fold up kitchen), i'm going raw. it's pretty much an impossibility right now.

God. My diet is hugely embarrassing. I'd like to lose a little, but I don't do much, beyond working out, to further that aim. I eat whenever I feel hungry, which doesn't usually translate into regular meals as such, though I generally do wind up eating several times a day (albeit at odd times). I also eat whatever I'm craving of a moment, which is primarily starchy carbs, with some protein and dairy for kicks. Yesterday, for instance, every single time I ate something, it was bread based. Most of you would probably be horrified if I posted the exact details.

I am a runner and I do need the glycogen, which could be part of why I crave starch so much, but hell, my diet of sandwiches and rolls looks bad in black and white, so I can't bring myself to lay it out that way.

Breakfast: 2 tablespoons plain lowfat yogurt, coffee, and 1/2 banana
    Snack: protein cookie
    Lunch: tuna sammich and salad
    Snack: cranberry trail mix, handful
    Snack: a fruit
Dinner: grilled chicken or ground turkey or some type of fish...a veggie, and maybe some bread or other carb-tastic thing.

I succeed at eating like this maybe 4 days a week. Right now I'm barely eating anything because I am in lust and have no appetite.

I don't have time to eat until 2pm (usually don't want to get in my car to go somewhere else till about 4), but then I'll go to subway and either get a cold cut combo or tuna sandwich and water.

Dinner is more of a snack. A little kettle corn and chocolate soy milk. If I do actually get hungry I'll just go to subway again.

I'm trying to lose weight. Rather tone up but I haven't gotten around to working out yet.

Hmn, my diet is a bit different, but I've been doing it for over a year now, and it's worked great for me as I've NEVER been able to stick with anything for more than a few months at a time.

It's called the Warrior Diet, and it's basic idea is 'fasting' through the day, and eating one big meal in the evening with the basic order of raw veggies first, then cooked veggies, then protein, then any carbs. Also, avoiding as much sugar as possible, which I never had trouble with anyway.

    Ok, so with that in mind, my day almost always goes as;

Coffee when I wake up, with splenda, or tea sometimes.
Usually a piece of fruit by noon
Workout around 1 or so, with a protein shake after
Sometimes another piece of fruit before dinner if I feel hungry

Dinner is either two-three heads of steamed broccoli, or a HUGE salad of romaine and spring mix with red peppers, hummus (or red beans) and sometimes tomatoes, mushrooms, artichoke hearts or an avocado.

Then, my protein is either salmon that I cook up, or chicken breasts. Sometimes pork or beef, but I just really like salmon and chicken heh.

Then, because I am almost full, either two pieces of multi-grain or whole wheat toast with some natural peanut butter, or some whole wheat or soy pasta with tomato sauce.

Often, I have a protein shake before bed too. :p

I eat a lot, I know, but I'm doing great and steady at losing bodyfat and putting on muscle, and I have FAR more energy than I EVER had before.

I think I might eat around 1800 calories a day, if not a bit more some days, but I also work out very intensely to balance it, not because I HAVE to, I just really like to! My metabolism used to be SO bad before, when I used to eat almost nothing, and then I'd crash and gorge when I couldn't keep that up...

That must be so boring to eat a planned diet! Even if something is so yummy, I get sick of it after awhile.

Man, I eat what sounds good, or what's convenient. Not always healthy or figure-friendly, but that's what the gym is for!

This is pretty much a daily thing. I change it up sometimes. Lots of water through out the day.

    Breakfast:
5 days a week --> Bowl of Special K Chocolate Delight or Mini Wheats Cinnamon Struesel. 1 serving of either Dannon Light N Fit yogurt, or Dannon Light Activia. 1 piece of wheat bread with peanut butter.
2 Days a week --> 1 larger sized pancake and one egg.

GYM --> Power lifting and heavy weight training for 2+ hours. Preceeded by 2 scoops of BSN's NO Xplode, and the workout is followed by their Cell Mass.

Lunch -->Muscle Milk Protein Shake. 3 scoops of powder mixed with water. Peanut butter sandwich.

Dinner (always before 6:30 p.m.) --> A meat, a starch, and a veggie or two. I can't live without potatoes in my life.

I also take supplements, vitamins, and try to work in as much protein as possible so sometimes I eat proteins between meals. I'm working to build more muscle mass and drop some fat.

I read that book, I love Dan Millman, but I dont think that outside of some similar beliefs and life choices that they are related.

More likely, you'll see direct connection to people who use kettlebells or other things related to a man named Pavel.

The diet isn't boring, you can handle it however works for you as long as you work out and keep the basic fundamentals in mind. Bored of salad, bored of broccoli? Make some spinach, or a sugar snap pea stir fry with zucchini, bok choy, peppers and mushrooms.

Hell, make a big veggie soup! I LOVE home made soups. <3

I have a hard time eating the same thing all the time too, PCQ, which is one of the reasons I started this thread. There are some great ideas for different meals.

    My goal plan:

Breakfast: Something. Anything. Possibly an egg sandwich or pb with an english muffin

Lunch: Turkey Sandwich, salad or cut up veggies, and a piece of fruit.

Dinner: Giant salad with beans/chicken. Piece of fruit.

Snacks: Raw veggies or fruit, string cheese, or yogurt

My current diet is more like this:

    Breakfast: redbull

    Lunch: some junky fast food

Dinner: some more junky fast food

So....yeah. I'm trying to lose weight as well, about 5-10lbs.
