    Thumbs up Nursing students

Just wanted to see who else is a nursing student? I know there are a few of us on here.. What are you going for (LVN, RN etc.) and when do you graduate? Classes and clinicals are tough so I figured it'd be nice to give each other some support!

I will graduate as an LVN on May 10th, and I will immediately start my pre req's for the RN program from Oklahoma University online. I would like to go to the University of Texas Medical Branch online to get my masters, perhaps in Mental Health, as well.. But that's a ways down the road! What about you?

I'm a nursing student. I'll have my ADN this May, and I'll be taking the NCLEX sometime this summer. Gah, it's a grind!

The other day, some people from the nursing university programs came to use to talk about BSN and other advanced degrees. Yeesh, talking to me about grad school right now is like asking me what I want for breakfast after Thanksgiving dinner.

I hear you! That's why I'm not even putting much thought into it now. It feels like I'll just be a student for the rest of my life, I'll never actually be a nurse.

Once I get back into school I plan on going for a BSN.

I'm a pre-nursing student. I hope to have my pre-reqs done by the Fall semester.

Nursing student here wont graduate for a very long time. BSN. Very difficult, indeed, to balance work, school, and parenting as a single mother. Eventually want to get my MSN.

I occasionally think about becoming a nurse-midwife. But my mom is an RN who works in labor and delivery, and I don't want to become my mother, so I don't think I'll actually pursue it. Shitty reason, I know.

I am undecided between getting my BSN or bachelor in medical tech. Right now, I am trying to get all of my pre-requisites finished. I go to a community college and will transfer to OSU this time next year to finish my bachelor degree.
I would do a pre-med major if OSU had one, but unfortunately they don't. After I get my bachelors, I plan on applying for OSU med school. I've always wanted to be a dermatologist or go into pathology. I just wish I could do a pre-med major rather than try to choose something else (like nursing, etc.). I love school and Iam looking forward to excell as far as I can go. It is going to be a chanllenging, but exciting ride! =)

^most of the pre-meds I know were required to major in Biology, Chemistry or Biochem. You could follow one of those paths if you want to do the traditional undergraduate route. From what I have seen though, as long as you take the required science classes for medical school, you can major in practically anything- so take something you will enjoy!

Anyways, I'm a BSN student, I graduate next May and take boards then as well.
I feel like I've been in school forever!
