    Default Plan B (levonorgestrel)

The condom broke last night so I went to the drugstore this morning and picked up the morning after pill...I've never taken it before or know anyone that has so I have no idea what to expect. I read the pamphlet but it was rather hazy. Has anyone taken this before?

I have. I have taken it twice, and both times I had pretty heavy bleeding for a couple days afterwards, almost as heavy as a period. It screwed up my cycle pretty bad too. No pain or cramps or discomfort though.

I have a friend that took it a couple weeks ago, and she had no side effects at all.

All I can say is the sooner you take it, the better.

I've taken it twice. Both times, it was prescribed with some version of Dramamine (the pill you take for motion sickness). I didn't have a big problem with nausea, probably because they gave me that medicine.. I had mild cramps, less than PMS gave me. It wasn't bad, and any side effects didn't last longer than 3 days.

i am really sensitive to hormones, so I had three days of hell when i took it- nausea, cramping, bloating, blah blah blah horrible. ... but you should definitely take it ASAP anyways. benefits outweigh the side effects.

I had no side effects when I took it...and I took it maybe 6 times total.

I've taken it twice. The first time I was really scared because I'd heard horror stories from a couple girls where they puked their brains out but I had virtually no side affects.

I think once I had nausea, feeling like I'd drank a glass of salt water, but I could be thinking of when I started birth control or prozac too.

Definitely recommend it. I have heard of studies that say taking both pills at once is just as effective as taking them 12 hours apart or whatever, but I just followed the directions. Might want to do that if you think you'll forget though.

I took it about 8 months ago since I had an accident with my ex before I went on BC.

I had a bit of nausea, but as other people suggested, it's good to buy some Dramamine for it just in case. And take the Plan B NOW!!!

My experience on it wasn't bad at all.

I've taken it once, mild cramps and mild nausea. From what the doctor told me it's just an overdose of the birth control pill.

I've taken it a couple times, and I didn't notice anything outta the ordinary at all. I've also taken multiple BC pills at once, b/c I was also told that's basically what Plan B is, and when I did that I DID feel sick.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I took it with some Emetrol because regular birth control makes me really nauseated. I just got really sleepy, but other than that no side effects.
