    Default boobs after breastfeeding

i looked after myself during pregnancy and breastfeeding for 7 months so i didnt get any stretchmarks and the drooping to my boobs wasnt at all bad compared with friends who have had kdis n breastfed

before i got preg i was a c/d cup and while preg and breastfeeding i was a DD/E
after the 7 months of breastfeeding they shrunk to a B cup and did droop a slight amount but not as much as i had feared.

its been 4 years since i had my daughter and jut under 3.5 years since i stopped breastfeeding and i have noticed that my boobs are getting bigger again (c/d cup) even though i am losing weight and they are starting to look perkier again.

i always thought once yuor breasts have shrunk and drooped after breastfeeding then yuo will be stuck with those breasts forever unless you of course have surgery. but things seem to be reversing in my bra department and im not complaining at all.

has anyone else who has kids had somethign similar happen??? i was thinking of getting a boob job but now they seem to be filling out again and perking up... im not so sure.

Wow, I hope that is true. My boobs are terrible from breastfeeding. Not so much smaller, but droopier, from how big they stretched.

Breastfeeding is not the cause of breast to sag, pregnancy is the actual cause for the change. You tissue will restore after you stop, slowly but it will, now breast will never be the same before kids, that is part of it, it is a sacrifice we face when being a carrier for our children.

It has been almost a year since I stopped nursing my kiddo and my breast are still lower and not as full but they are becoming a bit perkier.

i was about to say this also.

also, everyone is different. i went from a b cup to a d sometimes dd cup while nursing and now am an a cup on good days. my sis and mom both went UP and stayed up to a c cup...which they frequently remind me of lol

    mine just deflated is all.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding affect eevryone differently largely due to genetics.

I've had three children, I went from a B cup to a full D cup while pregnant, nursed all three of them for at least a year each and at the age of 36 I think they look pretty decent.

My oldest female friend had one child, gained less than I did during pregnancy, didn't nurse at all and she needed a lift.

I had the same sort of thing. My boobs were mishapen and a bit saggy after i finnished 2 years of breast feeding. After about 8 months though they had 'bounced back" lol. My boobs are not that much different now from how they were before I had my baby over 16 years ago. Im a 34b and went up to a 36d - a little bigger in the first couple of months of breast feeding.

This came up in a recent thread on breastfeeding, didn't it? There was an article cited that showed research done by plastic surgeons proved that there was no difference in sag between women who breastfed and women who didn't - the number of pregnancies was the determining factor . . . along with *drumroll* SMOKING.

    Here's the article:
    http://www.livescience.com/health/07...t-sagging.html
The results of the study, presented this week at a conference of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, showed no difference in the degree of breast ptosis (or sagging) between women who breastfed and those who didn't.

The main factors that did affect sagging were age, smoking status and the number of pregnancies a woman has had. Rinker noted that the smoking connection made sense because "smoking breaks down a protein in the skin called elastin, which gives youthful skin its elastic appearance and supports the breast."
Basically, if you want to avoid boob saggage, you'd be FAR better off quitting smoking (if you do) than avoiding breastfeeding, which has so many benefits for both baby and you, anyway.

Can you tell I'm looking forward to having my little nursling?
