    WWW Recent National Geographic Documentary

If you are a fan of The National Geographic Channel you might be interested in a recent documentary which was aired yesterday call Six Degrees. Here is a link that tells a bit about the subject.

I am sure it will be repeated so check your local listings for showtimes.

It was a fantastic show that all those interested in the subject of global warming should check out because it discusses on a much more intimate and personal level than most other scientific and educational films I have seen on the subject so far what will happen to the planet at each of the various degrees of warming.

I watched it last night with my son, great show. I think G came away with a better understanding of global warming and how fragile our environment is.

That is wonderful! I'm always so happy to hear about parents showing their kids educational stuff outside of their school. Yippie for good Mommy's like you

I was looking a bit closer at the website link this morning and I found this cool little interactive thingy

The personal stories shown in this one make it hit home a bit better than just the science part. I think it's a really great teaching tool too.

isn't that a book too? I seem to recall seeing that somewhere and thinking my son might enjoy reading it. I will keep my eyes open for the program.

Yup, it's a book too but depending on how old or mature your son is it may not be as interesting or inspiring as the documentary. Also I think there is really something to be said for visual effect.Oh and good Mommy points for you too!

Thanks LadyLuck, I try my best. And thanks for the link, G loves interactive stuff, and when it's educational even better.
