    Default teeth aligners

When I was younger I had braces and around that same time, I lost my retainer. Well, I was wondering if there was something like invisilign that I can buy from the store, that cost under $100. It is okay if it doesnt really work, I just need something so i can stop pushing back my teeth with thumb, everytime i eat an apple.

I really doubt something like that exists since everyone has different haw widths/shapes, spacings between teeth etc. I've had braces for about 6 years total, and both my mom and brother have had them too. The impressions they took from our teeth showed the shapes of our jaws (v shaped vs. u shaped) widths, bites, and alignments were completely different. I think it would have to be a specialized type of thing. If you are pushing your teeth back that sounds like something more than just cosmetic to me.

If cost is an issue I still suggest a consultation with an ortho to determine exactly how serious the issue is - if it is something to ignore or something that should be fixed before it causes more problems. My mom had something similar with a funky bite and she waited until she was 50 and needing to have surgery and more long term braces to correct her problem. It resulted in her having TMJ and having a lot of pain with chewing. Most are really good about working out payment plans or hiding the braces (invisalign, lingual). I don't regret mine at all. I encourage more people to look into orthodontic options as preventative measures before it causes problems later in life.

Ok, so thats probably not what you wanted to hear lol but I'm just relaying how these things can worsen over time and that there really is no cheap fix.

Eck, same situation. I had braces for 2 years, and though my top teeth re still near-perfect, my bottoms hav gone back to full-wonk. Boo. I dont want braces again, but I think my wonky bottom teeth are gonna eventually psh my top teeth (due to the way they rest when I bite).

    Will be watching this thread.

I had braces when I was younger, but over time my teeth drifted back to semi-wonkiness, so now I have invisalign. My ortho told me that when the series is done and I'm happy with the result, I'll have another impression made, and a long-term retainer will be made from that. So if you want to just keep your teeth the way they are now and don't want to break the bank, perhaps you can request an ortho provide just that service for you?

I too, have/had braces (I still have back-braces on my lower incisors. Need to get those off.) and over time my once perfect teeth started to drift again. I was thinking about looking into invisalign once I stop making student loan payments.
