Backstory: I have a bacterial infection in my digestive tract and was given flagyl to take. I ALSO have yeast in my digestive tract and was given 1 pill of diflucan, which I took. Now, I've never had a traditional yeast infection in my life, so this was extra weird. Anyway, I want to take probiotics so the yeast won't get worse from the antibiotics. I've been drinking bio-k shots once a day, but now the health food store is out of them. I bought some kefir today, and have been eating plain yogurt as well. Oh, and kombucha has live cultures in it, so I bought that.
I guess my question is, what is the best form of probiotics, and does it matter if I take it on an empty stomach or not? I've already cut out wheat/gluten/sugar and I drink a ton of water. I just don't know how I got so sick...
