Default What is work climate in NYC?

Ive been REALLY sick for a long time and have not been working. Before I fell ill, I was working at crazy horse in the bx. I went back but made DICK. It was fun while it lasted, but Its really far from home anyway and Im tired of spending 200-400 a week in transportation to get there when i could work in manhattan, spend the same money and have better earning potential.

I was think about going back to Ten's Cabaret but I'm sure the crap that pissed me off before will happen again.

I need a new place to work!

What's going on at your club right now?
I'm getting my Dial-A-Stripper service up and running again. If you are in NYC or NJ and are interested in private party dancing, email [email protected] with your SW handle, contact info, photo (if you have one) & best time to call and I'll get back to you asap.

If you're having a party and need strippers, email me with the details and any questions you have. Thanks!

    I'm guessing it's either:

great (cuz everyone is so busy making $$$$ and can't respond)

    or

terrible (and no one wants to be the harbinger of bad news)

    In reality it's probably so-so.

From reading between the lines I'm guessing Hustler is hiring a lot... http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=108323
and the gals working there are doing pretty good.... http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=108005

You can do a "search" for those clubs. Maybe type "cheetah NYC" or "vip nyc".

Cheetah is STILL dead as a doornail. It's a miracle it's still open.

VIP is still run by Sammy and is still a brothel.

    Wow, Cheetah still dead, eh?

I went there last year. I didnt like the nieghborhood, when i came out, all the pimps tried to get at me. I was standing at the corner waiting to cros the street and this guy comes up to me, "Hey whats up sweetie, you working?" I said real loud "NO IM NOT A HOOKER." He shrunk and said, "oh im so sorry." but he was still standing there! I told him to get lost. I was hardly dressed to walk the track, lol.

VIP turned me away. They said it was really slow and they had enough girls for now. They tried shuttle me to Platnium Club, which isnt even open yet. I said "no thanks, i can take a hint."

^Ewwww awful about the pimp. I didn't remember the neighborhood leaving a particularly bad impression on me when I went (moved to Abq few days later, never worked there) But then again, maybe it's cuz some pimp didn't try to get at me.

Lol Akasha's pimp story reminds me of one night I was leaving a party late in Bay Ridge Brooklyn (one of the nice areas)....I turned the corner and a guy waks past me and does a double take. He then says "Hey sexy, you a working girl?". I told him no and kept on walking!
I was wearing a short dress and high heels but damn since when is there a track near million dollar homes??

I would like you to know that I woke myself up screaming because I had a dream and at the end of it I was face to face with a pimp. But he had a gun and his face looked like Freddy Krueger. It's all your fault!!!!!! I always imagined that crossing paths with a pimp would be a lot cooler than that. Somethin' to write home about, you know?

I thought by now Cheetah's would be closed. When I went for a cocktail waitress job they ask if if I wanted to be a dancer....red flag for me.

To get back on subject, I'm at my club a few nights a week, and we are pretty busy- especially on Thursdays. Last Thursday was so packed, I swear you'd think lap dances were free! Now, this past Monday was DEAD... but Tues-Thurs are usually pretty good.
It's getting better and better now that the custy's aren't traveling as much and it's moving into March. Thank goodness it's going to be warming up (fingers crossed)- that should be good business for all of us!

I've been in NYC for the past week and only worked hustler tue and wed. I did well, a little bit of a hustle but way better than what I've been doing in Vegas.

Sad but true. And it's even convention season in Vegas and I'm still doing hit or miss nights. After this week I'm tempted to move back to NYC to dance again but honestly, this city has so much opportunity to do more than just dance. I will move back as soon as I decide on a long term career plan. You can't just dance here and make a career out of it. I'm glad I have my moms place to stay where I'm saving money on hotel AND going into hustler at 6 cuts your house fee by half. This makes a huge difference when house fees here are already insane.

I'm staying another week and will post again on hustler. I'm sure it will be good.

BTW, I hit HQ for a drink with a friend and it was dead and some guy at the bar literally asked to go home with his friend... No thank you.

i'm dancing in manhattan and i think its going well. but idk if the places i've seen listed like cheetah, hq or vip do that great "anymore". but once again, everything is all relative, and there are ALWAYS girls who will make money at a place. best thing to do is just go in and try.

i think maybe there haven't been too many replies because a lot of nyc girls don't really want new girls in their club. its sooooo much better for us when there's less girls, and by less i mean under 100 in a night.
not trying to be nasty and like "don't come in" but its not like the money is just being thrown around limitlessly right now.
