I was perusing MUA when I ran across several posts about possible supplements to help rosacea. I don't know if some of you remember me posting last year about scientists figuring out that it was either a lack of or an excess of a particular protien in our bodies that causes rosacea. This person also says it could be a blocked/slow GI tract, which makes perfect sense to me.
The recommendations are to take Silymarin, which is the active ingredient in Milk Thistle, and Methylsulfonilmethane (S-MSM), which is a supplement that helps arthritics. Because of the possible relationship to a blocked/slow GI tract, ( she said the roseacea is an inflammatory reaction to the bacteria in your skin), she said she would add a fiber & probiotic product to your diet, and possibly triphala if you find yourself irregular.
She also said with the milk thistle that concentration of the active ingredient (silymarin, an antioxidant) should be 80% for it to be most effective.
These ingredients already come packaged in something called Roseacure, but it seems it is cheaper and maybe safer to take this way, because she had a reaction to one of the inactive ingredients.
Anyway, hope this info is helpful to someone...
