That's a big difference. You shouldn't have gained so much unless you've been binging. Are you sure the scale is right? Is it the same scale? Are you weighing in naked?
yep, I weighed myself naked.
i'm pretty much freaking out. i've been at 125 for a while and then SUDDENLY I'm 135. like how the fuck does that happen? granted, it happened the day of my period. well the day of i was 132 and then i hit 135 the next day. i look about 140 or heavier at the moment, but I'm out of town with no access to a scale, so I have no idea what the hell I weigh today.
They say that the bloat before your period really can go anywhere from 2-10 lbs.
Im sorry you are one of the poor souls who gains the 10.BUT it IS water weight. Do you crave salty things before your period? I know I do...
I gain up to 5 lbs and CAN NOT remove my rings from my fingers.
But drinking tons of water is the only thing that has helped. Obviously your body retains any extra salt and/or water before your period so taking in water is the only way to flush it out.
Hope this helps

Have you eaten anything salty before you bloat? Salt + water = extra bloat. Salt helps retain water and the only way to flush salt is to drink water. Yeup periods do that. As you know it'll go away once your aunt flo is gone.

I gain a ton of weight before my period, and up to day 3 during.
Drink lots of water, stay away from salt, and try to do some cardio (I know it can be tough during period week becasue of cramps and general blah, but it really does help) and it should go away
awesom, y'all. that was really helpful. I was eating a lot of salty foods and drinking quite a bit before my period hit (my other half was in town, so I pretty much went off the deep-end with my diet.) I probably only gained a couple pounds in water weight from that, but then SUDDENLY I turned into this heffer. I mean, when I WAS 135 it did NOT look this bad. Ugh, I hate looking in the mirror now.
I'm eating so much right now, though!
Yesterday I ate naked salads, 4 bowls of homemade tortilla soup (no salt,) a bag of gummi bears (hey, it's the only thing that sounded good at the newsstand in the airport,) a half oz. of pretzels, and 8 glasses of water. oh and 3 vegan chicken nuggets.
I'm looking a LITTLE better today, but once again there's no way for me to measure that. I don't think, at least. I can see if my step mom has a scale, but it's doubtful.

It's been bad for me too, lately. I don't know if it's even the salt, I just think I'm having fluctuating hormones. Last month I was going out the week of my period (right before I started) , so I needed to get a new pair of jeans - and I could only fit into a size THIRTEEN. The next week, I was back in a 9/10.
It's ridiculous. Although I am going to be very careful with my sodium intake this time, and see if I can make a difference.
Try the natural water pills too..that might help. Also,I'm going to look into dieter's tea during this time of the month, but you do have to be careful with that. THere's also a PMS tea that may help, but I haven't tried it yet. If I have any success with these, I'll let you know.
