You can also get them injected with a solution or lasered by a dermatologist if you want a more long term solution.

I second the Sally Hansen. That stuff can hide almost any skin blemishe.

^^
yep.
but if they are varicose veins rather than just spider veins you should consider getting them fixed as they end up getting very painful.
you can get them removed via laser or an injectible solution.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
Thanks for the replies![]()

I tried the injections and they did not work. I know this is old.
It was sclerotherapy i think its called.
Is that what you guys are talking about?

I just had sclerotherapy for the first time a month ago, and for me it DID work. By contrast, my sister had it in June, and hers didn't work, even though she's had it done successfully in the past.
As with Botox and other injectable solutions, not all skin treatment centers are created equal. When my sister went a few months ago, the treatment she had used a saline solution and only treated surface veins. And she said straight out that she felt like they basically half-assed it--they didn't give her any post-treatment instructions, treated only one leg and would've skipped her other leg entirely if she hadn't spoken up (which she did). She hasn't noticed any results either.
My experience was a lot different. My doctor explained to me that you not only have to treat the surface veins, but also the veins that feed the surface, or the problem wouldn't really be solved. They also used a foam sclerosing agent instead of saline, because it was stronger and more effective. The foam keeps the solution in the vein longer and allows for a greater treatment window. So when I had it done, the nurse went over my leg with a light (shined against the skin to find feeder veins) and got every single little teeny vein I had, on both legs. I only really had a noticeable area on one side of my left leg, and most of it is completely gone!
So, as with any cosmetic procedure, do your homework. The irony is that both my sister and I paid the same price for our treatment, but mine worked and hers didn't!
