    Default Lush bath bomb question

I have a question about the Lush bath bombs-do I need to use a whole bomb when I take a bath, or will I still get a good bath out of half a bomb? I'd like to make my stuff last as long as possible.

Count me in as another person who loves Lush-I used part of a bubble bar about a week ago (I think it's The Comforter-it has dark pink and light pink swirls and turns the bath water light pink) and I really liked it. It made my skin super soft and it smelled good. Plus it's pretty big and I can easily get 3 or 4 baths out of it.

I generally use a whole one, but I have a TON of stuff right now from Clean Slate. I will split them when my stash gets low or if I'm doing an elaborate cocktail. I don't take baths all that often tho, so I usually just use the whole thing.

I never use a whole bubble bar, a half seems to do me fine. I never thought about splitting the bombs tho. Sometimes I have a short bath before work so I'd probably use a half one then but use a full one for those long luxurious baths.

Yay you like it!! The bubble bar was a Comforter.

I always use a whole ballistic, but I'm decadent like that. You can easily use just half and get away with it.

How would you go about splitting a bath bomb? It seems like they'd just crumble into dust. (Yes, I visited a Lush store in LA... I am now also and addict.)

I divide the melts and bubble bars, but I've never tried to cut a bomb. They're too hard and I think you'd really need a whole one to get the full effect of the bombs.

If they're the kind without stuff inside I just hold the bomb halfway in the water until it melts away and package the other half.

I really like cocktailing the bombs with the melts, so I split the bath bombs all the time. If you whack it with a hammer, often only one side will break... so you just save the other side and use it the next time.

You can take a straight edge (like a screw driver) to the seam and hit it with a hammer. I saw that on a lush forum, but I've never tried it.

    Another Lush question:

I just bought a Ceridwen's Cauldron melt. It's the only one that comes in a little mesh bag. Do I leave it in the bag or am I supposed to take it out? It's not like Lush to use extraneous packaging so I thought I'd check, and I forgot to ask at the store!

I leave it in the bag and take it out when I feel like it.

So you drop the whole thing in the tub, bag and all?

I took a Green Party bomb out of the water halfway through dissolving and set it on the counter. It stopped fizzing in a few seconds and dried out for me to use again another night.

I don't know if this will work with all bombs. I was worried it would still keep dissolving after I took it out but it stopped. Some, such as avobath, seemed like they dissolved almost too quickly to take out and stop.

I once read about someone dropping Ceridwen's Cauldron into the bath, letting it melt, and then using the bag with all the scrubby stuff in it to exfoliate.

Yeah, I think this is its intended purpose.
