Default Could there be any truth to my theory?

All my life I have ben under weight, to th epoint where every time I went to a new doc for whatever reason, they'd either acuse me of having an eating disorder or test me for anemia as well as other things. I tried and tried to gain weight and just couldn't.

When I first started dancing right up until exactly a yera ago in january I fluctuated between 108 and 112 which was my max and I' 5'5.

After various delays in airports on my trip to Dubai it ended up being a 32 hour flight where I kept repetedly asking for coffee when I never liked or drank coffee before because I thought it was gross. I was in Dubai for 3 weeks and then London for a couple of weeks as well, and the coffee kept being used to keep me sane and awake, now flash forward to today....

The coffee is the ONLY thing I've changed in my diet, and still drink it today, I guess I just got used to it an never quit. Now I struggle to get my weight down to 119 (I'd like to be 116-117 because it looked sexiest when I was about that) and hover around 123. Could coffee make you gain weight? I thought it was supposed to be an appetite supressant, but will it make me hungrier later or something, could this be. I used to drink green tea a couple of times a week in the morning back when I weighed 108-112, but not every day. Now that is replaced by coffee every single day. Could the green tea only a couple times a week been enough to speed my metabolism? Could the coffee have slowed it or made me eat more?

Or you could've gained a whopping 4-9 pounds because of age....

Yeah... you could've. Puberty stops at exactly 22 (tops). So the fact you gained from 22-23 is hardly shocking as your metabolism would've slowed since you didn't need it to grow anymore.

Mmm, I read it wrong as your highest weight was in the brackets, not your actual weight. My fault.

Was there a lot of sugar in your coffee? I know that when I drink a lot of sugar based drinks (aka soda), I can pack on an extra 10 pounds - despite the fact sodas are only 150 calories a pop. Don't ask me what the sense in that is, but I swear by this.

I was medically underweight for a long long time too... around 25-40 pounds underweight, until a year ago.

Depends on what you're drinking. If you're just drinking coffee (black, or with a small amount of cream and sugar), it's probably not the culprit. However, if you're like me, and end up with 38475029 calorie mochas...yeah, it could cause it.

Just regular medium flavored coffee with a tiny bit of whole milk and no sugar at all.

But I do have nearly all of 1 gaint glass in the morning wich is almost all of the 4 cups of coffee in the pot. I nearly always have a tiny bit left in the pot, and a tiny bit left in my glass as well.

I don't think coffee would make you gain weight. Not unless its some sugary Starbucks concoction with whip cream and 500 calories a cup.

The caffeine should rev up your metabolism a bit, plus coffee is a diuretic. It should make you pee out some extra water weight, not gain.
