I'm not all up to date on this - I think it was - was it in Belgrade? What did Kosovo suceeding (sp?) have to do with the U.S. Embassy to cause them to try to destroy it? I don't understand.

Pooka, yes, it was Belgrade. The US, and EU, looked favorably on the declared independence of Kosovo. Serbia doesn't want to give it up. There was a big demonstration against Kosovo in Belgrade, and the vacated US embassy was burrned by demonstrators who are pissed at the US for its support of Kosovo.

^^^Have they figured out who the body was?

OH - so they attacked a symbol of us - our Embassy there - because we supported Kosovo suceeding and they didn't want them too.
Making sense now. Thanks you guys.![]()
Prepare for the next war to brew up.
A little more history:
The Serbs weren't happy with Clinton's 78 days of bombing. The US pretty much got it's self into a mess there too.
Note: Serbia's had a fractious, troubled history. For instance, the start of World War I.

^ or the bosnian crisis... ethnic cleansing is always really good for a country's int'l image. according to the EU, "serbia's eu talks have been put on hold." hahahaaa... yeah, indefinitely, i'm sure.

this is likely to cause greater violence problems in the entire region

And they are very, very, very angry about most everything that doesn't support their nationalism.
This I think relates to the background of their anger http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Empire. But other countries were subjugated by the Ottomans and yet they do not act the same as Serbia. Perplexed.
" Ottoman Conquest of the Balkans from Wikipedia
In the century after the death of Osman I, Ottoman rule began to extend over the Eastern Mediterranean and the Balkans. After defeat at the Battle of Plocnik, the Turkish victory at the Battle of Kosovo effectively marked the end of Serbian power in the region, and paved the way for Ottoman expansion into Europe."

I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.
