Default An ex-coworker appears on "Dateline: To Catch a Predator"

It's a small world...I worked with this guy many years ago. After a few months, he suddenly disappeared and I wondered what happened to him. Then in the break room, co-workers were watching "Dateline: To Catch a Predator" and we saw him show up! We saw and were disgusted by what he said and did!

I read a follow up on him. He was sent to the "Pound Me in the Ass" prison for about a year. He's now signed up as a sexual predator. IMHO, his life is over. I heard that child molestors have the toughest time in prison. They get beaten up or even killed. I hope he got a beating in prison. The sexual predator stigma will be with him for the rest of his life.

Funny thing is that no one thought of him as a sexual predator. I guess most people at work want a piece of him. Pass the baseball bat around!

Sucks. Actually, no, not really. Personally, I believe all child molester (and by that I mean kid fuckers (and those who attempt to), not eighteen year old dude fooling around with his sixteen year old girlfriend) should be castrated, and shot for the worst offenses.

Why stop at balls? Remove the entire bit. Make 'em need a piss bag. I have no sympathy for them.

One of the main points was cheap.. But yes, I share your sentiment.

I definitely can relate. I'm steel reeling from the whole Catholic priests things...

Two that were very close to my family turned out to have raped little boys and girls a decade before (how did I know the priests? They ran my school of course, for ages 5-13).

There is no recovering from that behavior. Throw away the key, in my mind.

Sadly, this is largely a myth these days. The pedophiles are placed in their own wing, along with state witnesses and homosexuals, under "protective custody". The general population doesn't get a chance to touch them.

I personally believe sex crimes against children should be punishable by either a life sentence (preferable) or chemical castration. Pedophilia is not curable. There is no other way to keep these people from hurting kids.

Not really, only a few places automatically put pedos in protective custody, and protective custody still doesn't mean that these people are safe.

The myth is all pedos get there ass kicked, the ones who get there ass kicked are the ones who are known to be pedos.

Remember the Boston(?) area priest a few years back, he was in protective custody when they killed him.

    I have to respectfully disagree.
My brother is a prison guard in MA.
They regularyl dump the kiddy pervs into general pop.
    They aren't treated kindly.

As to all the "castrate them" type comments, it unfortunately doesn't stop them.

What a sickening feeling to realize that you worked with such a sicko! But I bet there are quite a few guys that hit up the strip clubs that are similar to this man. Yuck. Poor kids.

I hope you're right. I do remember reading that the growing trend was to put these animals in their own special wing. I would love for that to not be the case.

Then I say life imprisonment should be the standard.

Pedophiles have the highest rate of recidivism amongst criminals. In fact I can't remember the last child-rape story that didn't involve a previously convicted sex offender. The current laws are woefully inadequate.

Too many people believe in mercy. These people deserve not even an iota of it. If anything riles me up quick, it's pedophiles.

What's REALLY awesome is a girl I work with volunteers as a decoy for Perverted Justice. She looks really young and It's her way of gaining revenge for her own mother's molestation as a child. I just sat there as she told me, then clapped. Someone has to clap for people like her.

I saw that episode, that guy's a fucking mongrel and a half! That decoy's lucky he didn't try to club her over the head and drag her by the hair back to his cave.

    Hahahhaha!!!

But pn a serious note that guy needs a blanket party...

(If you don't know, that's where you throw a blanket over someone's head with your friends and then kick the crap out of them)

Granted, I share the same opinion of sex crime perps as the majority here, but...

This show disgusts me. It goes far beyond sensationalistic into the realm of entrapment. A TV crew and Chris Hansen (essentially an actor) are performing the duties of law enforcement and these individuals have not been mirandized. Not to mention the fact that their image is broadcast to a nationwide audience before their guilt is even ascertained. A great number of these cases ended in dropped charged for various reasons (and ruined lives). But Dateline doesn't care about that. They got their show.

And before anyone jumps on me for being sympathetic to people who hurt children, you're missing my point entirely. I believe that children should be protected. But I also believe in due process. I think this is a good cause, but not within the jurisdiction of reality television.

^^ You are right about due process, but from the shows I've seen, the trapped have made it pretty durned clear what their intentions are. I suposed the ones that are a lot less clear, their shows are not screened, maybe.

After all, if a cop thinks you did 'it' by whatever 'intuition' he as, even if you didn't, you are in for a huge hassle. 'It' being anything from swiping a pack of cigs upward.

Here, there is no 'intuition' about it.

There is one difference -- the intentions to swipe some cigs, by talking about it, are not illegal.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

In England at one point, the actors portraying the perpetrators were often attacked if seen on the streets. I'll try and find the articles but it was a few years back now.

What gets me the most is the pathetically light sentences they always seem to get. Everytime it's on the news in Australia they seem to get 2 or 3 years max and end up released after a year or some bullshit. Oh wow they're put on the registered sex offenders list and can't get a blue card. Big woop.

I think they should get at least the same punishments as offenders who violently rape women. The fucking mental torture they put kids through to coerce them into performing sex acts is just as fucking bad a putting a gun to a woman's head.

I suppose we could burn them at the stake in the Town Square with bands and dignitaries etc. And of course the chili cookoff and marshmallow roasting people.

Insane. He's so fucking flip about it too. Like "Yeah..I like young girls, I meet them all the time". What a waste of fucking blood these guys are. Child molesters should get the death sentence...most have already admitted that its a sickness that they can never control. Why ever let them have the chance?
