Do these work? Anybody try them? If they worked that would be bananas.

That sounds good for you. Color your skin from the inside. I'd be afraid to look like I have a liver disorder..
As long as you dont turn blue like the colloidal silver dude. EEK!![]()
Sounds like the same thing as the injections. If it works like those then prepare to get a buttload of new moles, freckles, etc. I wouldn't try it, I regret trying the injections and don't recommend it.
Ok I havent looked at the links but the first thing that came to my mind when I read the title was Yeah why not ? I mean there are certin things in your skin that help you to tan where a lack them will prevent you from tanning ....I use to never tan or burn in the sun when I was kid , i was so pale and went to a very mixed school so it made my "paleness" all the more obvuious .....I use to read any article on tanning and I know I have seen things about this .....I am gunna read the links and see but WHY NOT ???

I do not produce melanin in my skin and am by genetics a very pale person. You guys have changed my life - I love these pills and the best part is that they are safe.
Thats a quote from one of the links ......thats pretty much what I was talking about before I read the links ....the vitamins should help really .

the ingredients:
"Our synergized blend of 2000 mg of L-tyrosine, a natural occurring amino acid, provides the nutrients your body requires to increase melanin production. We add 400 IU of vitamin D & 30 mg of Vitamin E to keep your skin supple and healthy. This formula also contains 20mg of PABA to minimize any occurrence of sunburn plus 2mg of copper to accelerate the tanning process."
i think its somewhat believable. but no need to buy that one, just buy some l-tyrosine and a mulitvitamin. it doesn't actually change the color of the skin, but increases the ability of your body to produce melanin during the time you are in the sun
this is from a physiology website:
http://physrev.physiology.org/cgi/co...full/84/4/1155
Melanins, the end-products of complex multistep transformations of L-tyrosine, are polymorphous and multifunctional biopolymers, represented by eumelanin, pheomelanin, neuromelanin, and mixed melanin pigment (323, 597, 59. Melanin biosynthesis can be initiated from either the hydroxylation of L-phenylalanine to L-tyrosine (nonobligatory step, operative in vivo) or directly from L-tyrosine, which is then hydroxylated to L-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA) (obligatory step both in vitro and in vivo). L-DOPA serves as a precursor to both melanins and catecholamines, acting along separate pathways
I researched these pills last summer. They can cause crystals in your eyes and screw with your liver, and it makes your skin a pretty color in the club but sort of an orangy color outside. I worked with a girl who took them which is what got me interested. After I told her about the eye hing she was like "THAT explains a LOT!!!"

I tried taking these before a 3 week holiday in Brazil, and there was no difference whatsoever. I'm very fair skinned and don't even freckle, but the usual thing happened - got caught out by spending too long in the sea and had sunburn you could fry an egg on, then spent the rest of the holiday peeling. In my experience they were a waste of money.

I've never tried them personally, but here's a link to the FDA section on tanning and pills which mentions the same things Fawn did: side effects of eye disorders & liver problems.
It's just vitamins and amino acids (proteins)...
It can't harm you... in fact the L-Tyrosine will actually make you feel very refreshed.
yah tyrosine helps with metabolism, mood and is natural and needed in your body from proteins.
there are different types of tanning vitamins.
the ones that are BAD are the carotene pills that "dye" your skin.
ever heard of how eating a ton a carrots (which contain beta carotene) can turn your skin orange? thats the same concept as those pills. not good

what does crystals in the eyes mean?
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
