    Default Cooking turkey help, please

How do I eviscerate a turkey? I thawed it out all night, but I don't know how to get out all the guts. I've cooked them before, but my mom used to do that part for me. Any advice?

Just reach in the hole. There should be a bag of the guts and the neck.

Are you frying it, or baking it in the oven?

like they said there is a bag of guts and the neck bone in the cavity, just dig in there and get em out!

And they are PERFECT for the furkiddos to gnosh on, lol!

I then pull up all the skin I can from the bird and add pats of butter (REAL butter not fakie crap) inbetween the skin and meat, then inject the crap outta it with cajun butter injectables, and add another stick in the cavity of the bird. Then stick it in my countertop roaster and bam in 4 hours I gots the bestest bird in town!

Oh, and if you're baking it, somone recommended adding mint leaves (I bake mine in those oven bags). If I can remember correctly, I rubbed it down with melted butter and stuck the leaves all over it after stuffing it. It turned out delicious!

The turkey turned out great! Thanks oodles, everyone. Boyfriend and my dog loved it, it sucks I don't get to try it, but Tofurkey is just as good, right? Any good soup recipes for the innards? Lola?

Sounds nummy (except for the guts...not really my flava)! I just gotta say, OT, that your signature is really disturbing. Whazzahell is it from?
