    Default Butt exercises

    I want a little more to work with in the butt department, so my awesome roommate Dani told me two exercises to do.

    Get on your hands and knees doggy-style position and while keeping your body still, lift one leg up so your back and your upper leg make a straight line, and then bend your knee at a 45 degree angle. Hold this is place and try to use your butt muscles to keep your leg up. The way you bend your knee will work your leg muscles, too, but try to focus on your butt.

    The second one is like the first one, but it's more of a "dog peeing" move. Get on all fours and hold your thigh out sideways from your body (as opposed to the first move where you hold it back) as if you were lifting it up to pee like a dog. Use your butt muscles again to hold your leg up in the air, bring the leg back in, and then lift it up at a 45 degree angle to your body again. You can still bend at the knee, too. It stretches your calves. This exercise is my favorite; it works BOTH butt cheeks.

    I can already feel the results from doing this one day. I want a booty. I'll post pics after a few months of this...

    I love those two exercises, have been doing them for a while now along with my routine and always see great results. If you add ankle weights it's even better.

    How long do you hold it and how many times a side?

    Sounds good. Ive been wanting to do something about my flabby ass...just never get around to it.

    both of those are great for toning.

    i forgot to mention that there is a great machine at the gym (regarding the first one) where you can add weights to make it even more challenging. like jeska said, adding ankle weights would give you more of a workout.

    Ellipticals and squats are the only thing that give me lower-body results.

    the stair climber is great for giving your butt more of a round shape.

    lie on your back with your legs bent and slightly spread slowly lift your butt up and down and whole time clenching your cheeks.....great while ya watchin ya fav show on tv! lol

    Reverse lunges are what keep butts like Jlos plump yet toned ....I do them and when I do them I have great bum muscles , I was shocked one day putting on lotion , my little bum so was perky and firm
