    Default After-Shaving Treatment?

What do you all do once you've finished shaving your bikini area/crotch? Lotion? And please let me know which way you're shaving - blade or electric.

I'm looking for some help regarding preventing ingrown hairs.

A friend of mine recommended powder-y deodorant and it's helped me out. Not gel though.

I use the roll on type. But spray would work too. I'd be afraid of getting into my vajayjay though.

    bikini zone rocks my socks..
I have also used rubbing alcohol (it only hurts the first time)
check around on the site, there are probably tons of home rememdies that girls have talked about on here before.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

    That's what I used!

You want to use a solid, white stick type. It also helps if you shave in the direction of hair growth and use a fresh blade.

I've used Bikini Zone before. If it helps, I work on weekends only.. lately only Friday and Sunday nights. I find if I leave the skin alone for a few days between, it tends to work better. I will have to try the Dove stick, though.

Any stick deodorant should work. I've used lots of different brands.

Exactly. I use Secret - just unscented. I think the stuff they use to scent it might burn a little.

Deoderant doesn't work for me at all. I like Bikini Zone.

I'll try deodorant.... still have Bikini Zone, too. I'm all for experimenting - just wanted to know what works for others. Bikini zone is alright, but it does sting pretty badly.

When I'm in the shower before work, I exfoliate my bikini line with baking soda. Just take some, add a little water and gently scrub. I do my shaving, and then scrub a little more on, and rinse. I still use the plain powder deodorant after my shower, but I've found that this helps with the redness and any existing bumps.

Give it a try! Baking soda is like 70 cents a box

If you're into the whole herbal thing, I've heard that witchhazel helps.

I'm a deodorant girl myself though... Roll on. I save the spray for my feet.

TendSkin is a miracle product. It's basically the same as the aspirin mask, so you might try dilutting some aspirin in witch hazel or water and apply that.

i've always had a problem with ingrown hairs down there, until i was told to exfoliate before i shave, and WALLA, problem solved! so i use apricot scrub to exfoliate in lil round circlular motions and rinse, then lather and shave. works like a charm for me. and i tried everything, from bikini zone, rubbing alcolhol, deorderant...ect..

    good luck!

Best thing I have found is to use a new blade each time you shave the bikini area. I buy the cheap two blade disposable kind so I am not spending a shitload on razors.

Now I will use a razor two or three time for my legs but not my bikini and underarms where I tend to get razor burn.

I exfoliate before I shave with an acne scrub with salycilic acid. Afterwards I use men's aftershave and then dove deoderant on top of that. I also exfoliate every day even if I'm not shaving because it keeps the hairs from becoming ingrown as they grow out.
