Default Lush Facial Product Line Question

Since there are so many Lush fans here and I am awaiting my very first Lush order I thought I would inquire about what you all think about there facial care products. I am particularly curious to know your thoughts on their toners and the mint mask they sell on their website.

i have never tried mask of magnaminty but i do use their toners.

i will use tea tree water for when i'm a bit spotty, or when my skin feels really grubby.
i use breath of fresh air as a normal toner, this is really soothing and not harsh at all, takes my mascara off too.

i really like their toners. i have quite sensitive skin that is super combination as well, which is why i use a combination of 2 toners, depending on how my skin is at the time.
the toners can also be used through the day as a little facial spritz to cool you down.
they are good value too, they last quite a long time

I started using them about three weeks ago. I was very skeptical, as I am with all facial care stuff, since my skin is really wacky. I've religiously used Neutrogena and Biore products for years now without fail until recently when they have been less effective it seems. I thought using natural products sounded like it was worth a try though

I have combination skin that didn't really fit into any of the categories they made suggestions for. I ended up with Angels on Bare skin, Sweet Japanese girl, and an Eau Roma (toner) sample. I'm absolutely loving them. I use AOBS in the morning, and SJG at night (since the good exfoliation makes my skin a bit red) followed by the toner.

Within a few days I noticed a significant difference in the size/number of blackheads, the smoothness (not too flaky or too oily), and I had no new whiteheads. It also smells really fucking awesome. I totally sound like a Lush commercial now. I'm itching to try a face mask and a moisturizer now.

If you can go to a store you can buy just a small amount of product instead of the uniform amount you get online.

I love the fresh face masks that they sell in the stores. I used 'Crash Course in Skincare' which looked like guacamole mud and smelled light and clean and delicious. It was awesome. My skin was very dry but still oily from the cold weather (not that THAT lasted for long here!) and this was a wonderful balancing mask. Stella tried the 'Cupcake' and as far as I know she loved it too.

I haven't tried any of their other facial things besides the Ocean Salt scrub which is delicious too.

I like the facial masks you can get in the stores too! Too bad they don't sell them online.

I use the Ocean Salt scrub and love it (except when I get salt in my mouth by accident, YUCK, I hate salt), and Fresh Farmacy at night (love it, clear beautiful skin yay), and the Enchanted Eye Cream (love it, no more dark circles). I have some Coalface but rarely use it since my skin tends to get dry and the Coalface is even more drying. If anyone has oily skin I recommend it though, it strips all the shit out.

I'm not a big fan of their cleansers and moisturizers, but LOVE the face masks.

i think you can get better results from good ol noxema and the astringent of your choice.

i used to use sweet japanese girl and tea tree toner... but in a pinch i bought some noxema, apricot scrub and clean and clear astringent. i don't think i'll go back to lush skincare soon. (my acne is flaring up so bad!)

tea tree toner felt soooo good on my skin though! but for the price, i'd just go ahead and use that burts bees lettuce toner (if you're buying lush skincare for the earth friendly factor!)

Really? Weird. It doesn't smell like mint? What does it smell like that is so bad?

I am quite interested in the earth friendly factor of Lush, so yeah that does have something to do with why I am looking into trying some of their other products besides the bath stuff. I've tried some of the Burts Bee's products and found them to be just ok. Not bad but didn't knock my socks off either. Thanks for the suggestion though

If you can take Noxema. It breaks me out in horrific, surface-of-the-moon-with-volcanoes acne and makes my skin blotchy and red. I know it's supposed to cure that, not cause it, but on some people it has the opposite effect.

    UPDATE

I have now tried both the scrub and mask I asked about when I started this topic.

I found the scrub to be fantastic but as Yek mentioned if you get even a tiny bit in your mouth by accident your in for a nasty surprise.

I also liked the mask. Not sure why Britt thinks it smells so bad as I didn't find it to smell much at all and certainly not in a bad way. It was just right as far as being not too drying and yet feeling like my skin got a nice detox effect after rinsing it off.

I wish I had a store location near me though as I'd love to try some of their fresh mix masks. Maybe someday during one of my travels I'll get the chance.

Or maybe just maybe they will open one near me. I even sent them an email suggesting it with a short list of reasons why I thought it would go over well in my area, LOL!

Next up to try by mail is some toners. I'm pretty well stocked up on facial care products right now but next time I get low I am going to order one or more of their toners.
