^I used to work with a manager who would drag unruly custies out by the ear so everyone could see. That kind of humiliation worked out to be a great deterrent without causing physical injury![]()
You know I would tip you even if it weren't mandatory, Rob! You are a DJ who takes pride in his work and actually tries. You communicate with the crowd instead of mumbling something incomprehensible and/or unsexy into the mic. You have to know, though, that some DJs don't deserve shit. Just like some strippers really should not be stripping. I'm definitely not anti DJ I just don't think a lot of them have deserved 10% or any tip at all for that matter. Some do.
Oh I know Alexxxa, I was just being playful. You know I appreciate the hell outta you. You always take great care of me (which at first I thought funny cause your from California)
Yes I do know there are lots of Dj's that dont try or do anything to help the ladies out. I take pride in it because i do in alot of ways love it, and it is very challenging in many ways as well as unpredictable. I love not knowing what will happen from one day to the next. As far as the girls, I always try my best for them and will go out of my way to make them feel that they have a partner in the booth as opposed to just another slimy man with his hand out (although I am a man, and Im only occasional slimy) I try to earn what i make, not just expect it. But then on the flip side if its one of those "screw the dj" premadonna types I just do what the basic requirement is and give them a nice smile. Its easier than fighting with them, i know alot of dj's that would and I am always like...why?? I never could get the guys that just chased the girls down for the extra 2 bucks!! I just work harder for my money girls and the min tippers get the smile and thank you. It sooooo much easier that way

What are all the references to "the anti-DJ crowd"?It's not that the job is useless; it's that the vast majority who hold the position SUCK ASS. And of course that so many DJs have a grossly overestimated opinion of their importance in the club
I've actually had a DJ try to tell me recently that business was picking up since he'd taken over the weekend nights. LMFAO!! As if the customers go to see the DJ (and if they do, it means they aren't spending on dancers and so aren't really customers). LOL
Turn it into some other kind of venue. Strip clubs are losing money hand over fist these days.
Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!
Yeah, I dont agree with the "King" Dj types that think they are the ONLY reason dancers make money and that they'd all be at McDonalds without them. Nor do I agree with the Dj's that (as i mentioned) chase the ladies down for the extra two buck they think she jipped them of. Like I said in my post it should be a partnership a harmony if you will of dancer and dj working together to both make a large sum of cash. It's almost romantic![]()
The "anti-dj" crowd I make reference to, are the occasional few that think the Dj's are overpayed, overglorified, monkeys that push buttons, hit on dancers, get drunk and do nothing to help a clubs overall atmosphere, etc etc...No one here of course would think thatlmao.
DJ's do provide one or two small services....
Now if you all will excuse me, I need to go climb some trees and get my bananas![]()

The sad thing is, most so-called DJs at stripclubs are little more than button-pushing monkeys. Really. Illiterate, practically incomprehensible drunken/stoned sloths who really do hit on all the girls and could literally be improved upon by replacing them with jukeboxes.
And yeah, the booth monkeys who call themselves DJs are quite overpayed for what they do. It's a rare dude who truly does the work to earn $250-2k a night at a SC. Hell, many REAL DJs don't earn that.
So while we're on that topic, if I owned a stripclub I'd probably lose the DJ and play music off a computer.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

^That is poor management. Obviously you need to add new music and update the playlists regularly. Letting girls bring in some of their own stuff to add to the library would be good. You can also program it so the playlists change the way you want.
+1 for playing music off the computer. Good business decision all-round, imo.
Feature costumes for sale!
1 - Low house fees. No house fees at all on Sun-Wed.
2 - Tip outs only for people whose services you use. If my only interaction with a housemom is for her to collect my house fee and maybe ask me for my schedule, I resent having to tip her. And NO manager tip-outs. That feels like having to bribe your boss to be nice to you or let you work. (example: think of the girl who loads up on baby oil right before her stage and doesn't get yelled at because she tips the manager better than the girl who slipped on baby oil at the next stage set)
3 - only hire DJs who are good at it. I have no trouble with tipping a DJ who looks at what I like to dance to and plays it for me without having to ask me before every set and who can look at my seletions and choose something that will please the crowd that I can work well with, but I'm definitely on the "no button-pushing monkeys" boat.
4 - I'm with everyone on the big clean dressing rooms.
5 - No dirty girls! Have a set of reasonable and legal-or-close-to-it rules that everyone in the club must follow. If you're caught breaking them, you're out. The last club I worked at was great about this, and I found that in that sort of environment, being lower contact than many girls DIDN'T mean fewer VIP sales for me, because the marketing wasn't focused on how nasty anyone got.

1. no standard music format
2. brass poles
3. ban body lotion and oil
4. take away the $30 room fee for the 3/for $100. that's outrageous.
5. no dirty girls
6. girls must wear gowns, robes, or classy dresses and pants. a single bikini is NOT an outfit.
7. create a real "smoking room" on top of the club roof to prevent secondhand smoke to those allergic to it (me).
8. no one would have to walk in a line across the stage to promote a "special." this is not a pageant.
9. kick out guys who are clearly not spending money.
10. kick out rude and abusive customers.
11. no hiring dancers under the legal drinking age.
12. clean, spacious dressing rooms.
