    Default Cats and laser chasers

I grounded myself at home today to catch up on house work and laundry.

Anyways, my kitten won't leave me alone! So, I find this laser chaser and started playing with it with her and she is going CRAZY! I've never seen anything like it.

She growls and hisses at it. Then she hides and wags her whole rear and pounces. She is running around like crazy trying to catch it, meowing and hissing and jumping like mad.

When I quit to go back to work or take a break on SW she climbs up my chair and hits me in the head with her paw to get me to play it with her again. It's so weird because it's not like she can ever catch it, you know?

Do all cats react like this or what? She's making it hard to get anything done, cuz of course I can't resist her.

thats so cute. my cat loves the laser pointer. like LOVES IT, and will do exactly what ur cat does. too bad there wasn't a hands free one for the cat so we wouldn't have to be there and play too.

Oh yes. Go to youtube and you'll find a bunch of cat chasing laser videos.

In fact, I think they make a hands free device that you can just point at the wall.

Omg yeah, when I crack out the laser pointer my kitten goes insane. It trips him out for hours. He does the butt wiggle too hehehe!

I love it, its like the laziest way to play with your cat ever.

OMG, those are hilarious! Guess I'm not alone, just late to the party. Now, I'm not going to get anything done

I'm going to have to get the hands free one for sure.

3 out of 4 of my cats are only mildly amused. The fourth cat, though, hes OBSESSED with the laser pointer. He'll chase it until hes literally out of breath and has to lay on the floor to catch up. Then as soon as he can run again hes ready to go, I have to be careful not to let him get over-excited, poor guy!

My cats love it too! When I pick it up Buster hears it and runs over and just stares at it until he sees the laser.

mmm i'm not sure whther it applies to cats as well, but dogs can develop ocd from laser pointers where they will stop eating and resting and just wait for the laser to come out, my dog is this close to being medicated. now when she hears jingling (it was on a keychain ) she flips out and starts looking for it. we just thought it was funny at first, but then she started getting kinda crazy with it. the weird thing is, i don't think my 2nd dog sees it, she just looks confused when the 1st one starts running around like a dumbass

These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

All my cats love it and so do both my yorkies. My lab, Piper went crazy for it. It was her favorite toy. I'm gonna miss playing with her in the back yard with it.

Mine's on a keychain too so whenever my cat hears the jingle of that keychain he gets into pounce mood, while looking all over. It's fun watching him try to scale a wall to catch it, but I usually get bored & wanna get back to whatever I was doing after a few min so I'll make it look like the red dot went around a corner into another room & disappeared. That keeps him busy for awhile. I should get the hands-free robot one too.

There was an episode of the Dog Whisperer where a dog was utterly obsessed, to the point where even going for walks outside it would only look for the light. I can't imagine it happening often though. Meh, all three of my dogs could care less about the laser.
