I worked for a night at club that seems alright so I want to give it a shot. Its Rush Hour in LIC for you NYC people.
The pricing system works like this:
LDs are $25 per song (dancer keeps $20) and are done in a separate room with alot of chairs.
Private booths are $100 every 15mins. (dancer keeps $60) The booths are curtained for privacy. No one seems to tip extra for these dances unless you ask. Obviously with a system like this, its more profitable to do $25 LDs.
Keep in mind the other clubs in the area charge $160-180 for a 15min private. Customers here tend to want alot for thier money, too.
Should I just name my own price for the room? I was thinking about asking for $140 for a 15min booth dance. That way, I walk away with a definite $100 for a 15min chunk of time. The customer would be paying the extra for the privacy and touching.
I dont think the management cares about overcharging; i know the owner and all he cares about is money. He knows if we're happy we'll make him money. If it is a problem, I'd rather just deal with it when it happens. The $60 is comission for selling the room, but girls dont exploit that.
With the $25 dances, assuming the songs are (arguably) 5mins long, the customer would be paying $75 (60 for dancer) for 15mins, but theres no privacy and no touching. HOWEVER, they very rarely get more than 2 or 3 dances, so seldom would I make more than $60 per customer. If a customer did shell out $100 in dances, I would make $80 in 20mins.
Does anyone have a different spin on this?
