    Default Water Weight

I know weight can change daily due to water weight, but how much fluctuation is normal? Up to 5lbs any given day? I know I've lost SOME weight but I want to know exactly how much. It's frusturating!

When I was floating between weight classes, I would probably get about 5 lb from water weight.

Granted, I'm about 100 pounds more than you, so figure maybe 3 lb for you that can be REASONABLY factored in.

If you are curious about it, check out wrestling sites that talk about cutting weight for contests.

If you lose a lot of weight in a short period of time(a weekend), it's mostly water. Or you know, that other stuff we won't talk about.

My weight fluctuates by 5 pounds pretty frequently too. I'll weigh myself first thing in the morning, and be reasonably happy. Then at the end of the day I'll get on the scale again and I've gained 5 pounds. It's like WTF did I eat today? But then the next morning it all starts over again.

Yup! My weight fluctuates 5 pounds through out a day.

Id much rather be packing water weight than fat anytime. I don't know how you would be able to distinguish between the two from just stepping on the scale besides checking your weight right when you wake up every morning.

I heard it's 5-10 pounds, but 5 pounds is more common?

If you're losing weight, I found out that lost weight doesn't always show up on the scale that quick. It's weird, but you could have lost 5 pounds of fat......and the scale can show that you're still at the same weight.

According to my best guess at your weight, I would say that 3-5 lbs variance is normal. I would also say that you don't have anything to worry about and you look wonderful all the time. But that's just me, what do I know?

5 - 8 lbs of fluctuation for me. I prefer measuring tape.
