    Default quantitative or qualitative?

Would a a collection of the results of various likert scale tests measuring imrovement in various things, but only stating if there was: yes, imrovement or, no, no imrovemnt, but not the actual amount of improvement, based on the means of these tests using two groups (high amount of dieting group vs. low amount of dieting group, and effects on the aspects that diet would effect) be a qualitative or quantitative research method?

How about if they stated the actual imrovement scores in the comments, but not in the results? Also, what if they had no control group?

Quantitative (the quantity of people who improved or different). It would only be qualitative if the improvement scores were calculated in the statistics. I don't know about the control group. Also, I could be completely wrong - it's been a few years.

I think Objective Quantative (OQ data), since you have no control over the responses (ie medical tests etc)

It would only be Qualitive if it's a text-rich answer.
