It's almost time for Script Frenzy!

A few of us gave National Novel Writing Month a go last November, and SundayMorning and I emerged triumphant with 50,000-word novels we wrote in thirty days. Now it's almost April, and time to start thinking about ! A 100-page screenplay in a month... who's signing up with me? Let's not let Diablo Cody hog all the stripper/screenwriter glory!

I cannot even imagine what I'd write. I've never written anything nearly that long.

I would write a 10 page play though. Is that ok?

I know even less about writing a script than I did about writing a novel. But hell, I need a good kick in my ass--this is as good as anything! Yek, I'm in!

That sounds like a great challenge!! I wish I could...I'm already knee-deep in a project I have been working on for what seems like forever now...

I'm seriously considering it (as well you know, Yek). Hmm, end of third trimester, May 11th due date, hmm hmm . . .

If I have a baby before I can finish, I get a pass, right?

Rose, if you don't write that idea, I'm gonna beat you. I want to direct it!

I'm excited because I get to go back to something I started three years ago and had to drop because I was too close to the material. Now that I've grown up a bit and I'm no longer in Hollywood, I can take these bitchen characters and tell a better story with them. I don't know exactly what that story is yet, but fuck it! I'll figure it out eventually!

One week to go before it's time to fire up the Final Draft and get cracking! Who's signed up? Anybody know what you're going to write about yet? I've got two screenplay ideas and I'm having trouble choosing. I've got a week to figure it out. Anyway this is the week you get to start your official pre-writing preparation, so the countdown is on!
