Default The SW Radio Dedication Thread

Goooooooood evening, tricks and tramps, playas and playettes! This is your tall, cool one, Sunday the stripper with the sultry saWING putting some ZING up into your auditories all night long, baby, yeah. Oh yeah. I am that cool.

Our first song shout-out tonight comes from me to a certain bashful Hannah Montana fan in our audience, the lovely Miss stellaforstars. From the part-time-pop-star pipes of Miley Cyrus, here's "See you again."

I got my sights set on you, and I'm ready to aim
I have a heart that will never be tame
I knew you were somethin' special, when you spoke my name
Now I can't wait to see you again

I've got a way of knowin' when something is right
I feel like a must of known you in another life
Cause I felt this deep connection, when you looked in my eyes
Now I can't wait to see you again

The last time I freaked out
    I just kept lookin' down
    I st-st-stuttered when you
Asked me what I'm thinkin 'bout
    Felt like I couldn't breathe
You asked what's wrong with me
    My best friend Leslie said,
    "Oh she's just being Miley"
The next time we hang out
    I will redeem myself
My heart, it can rest 'till then
Ohhhh I, I can't wait to see you again

I got this crazy feelin' deep inside
When you called and asked to see me tomorrow night
I'm not a mind reader, but I'm readin' the signs
That you can't wait to see me again

The last time I freaked out
    I just kept lookin' down
    I st-st-stuttered when you
Asked me what I'm thinkin 'bout
    Felt like I couldn't breathe
You asked what's wrong with me
    My best friend Leslie said,
    "Oh she's just being Miley"
The next time we hang out
    I will redeem myself
My heart, it can rest 'till then
Ohhhh I, I can't wait to see you again

I got my sight set on you
    And I'm ready to aim

The last time I freaked out
    I just kept lookin' down
    I st-st-stuttered when you
Asked me what I'm thinkin 'bout
    Felt like I couldn't breathe
You asked what's wrong with me

The next time we hang out

Awesome thread, and if I hadn't read about it in the threadkillers thread, it may have died before it got a chance to get going.

This one's dedicated to someone who's not a member of SW, but she works in the industry. She's been having some tough times lately, summed up nicely by the words and grooves of Above & Beyond's 'Home'.

Here I come to find myself – catch the tide.
Looking for a peace at the end of the line
Sometimes I can’t help myself feel the tide
I’m all at sea and so unwise

I’m so afraid I lose your love as times goes by
The courage is a fire – and a beacon so bright
The sunset builds a memory - our love signed
And all I see becomes a lie

Will I wash away - turning like a stone?
    I need a place where I belong!
Call a setting sun to throw me down the road
And take me to a place called home

I close my eyes I know you’re there – love of mine
Standing on the shore in a world I designed
The sunset fires a lonely flare into the sky
And all I see we say goodbye

Will I wash away - turning like a stone?
    I need a place where I belong!
Call a setting sun to throw me down the road
And take me to a place called home
Looking for a place called home

Will I wash away - turning like a stone?
    I need a place where I belong!
Call a settïng sun to throw me down the road
And take me to a place called home

I'm dedicating this song to myself because I love it!

    Don't Stop Believin'
    - Journey

    Just a small town girl
    Living in a lonely world
She took the midnight train going anywhere
    Just a city boy
Born and raised in South Detroit

He took the midnight train going anywhere

A singer in a smoky room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers, waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
    Hiding somewhere in the night

Working hard to get my fill
    Everybody wants a thrill
Paying anything to roll the dice
    Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
    Oh the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on

    Don't stop believing
    Hold on to that feeling
    Streetlight people
