    Build-a-stripper workshop :-)

    Ok my first post
(Though i have been reading posts here for going on two years, just too shy to ever chime in *blush*)

I am so OVER IT.. i have been loading trucks part time at ups because i cant get a job ANYWHERE because apparently i am the only person in the whole world who has a damn misdemeanor on m record. But $8.50 an hour of back-braking work for four hours a night is not enough to take care of the family that i am raising alone.. I have been in every single club in my lil city, and am pretty sure i could do well as a dancer, other than the fact that i am VERY ashamed of the way my stomach looks... but i found a thread on here a while back about the titan laser, which i found in my city, and so now my mission is to lose about 20lbs (ugh) and tighten up.. So here i am, asking you guys to help me get my shit together.. I have wanted to dance for years now, but my ex wasnt going for it. Now I am tryna get everything in order so that when i lose the weight i can begin.. so if you could take a newbie into the build a stripper workshop, what would you do to her? I wish i could go on extreme makeover..but figured gathering advice here was the next best thing ...can you guys help me turn into a fabulous dancing goddess like the rest of you??...pleeeeaaase??

    Hi

Welcome to SW (or welcome to posting anyway lol). Ugh, and by the way I have taken a break from dancing too, and am VERY ashamed of the way my stomach looks right now also, so we both need to kick it to the gym...

Lol. But seriously looks are only half the battle. Check out the newbie section, and don't be afraid to ask questions....feel free to pm me or whatever, I've been dancing for seven years and now I'm bartending in Milwaukee for a couple months, so I am bored as hell and on SW all the time.

It would be easier if we saw pics of you...although I'm willing to bet you arent anywhere NEAR as bad as you seem to think you are.

You are being really hard on yourself. I think you look great And many girls have issues with their tummys. There are certain outfits you can wear to conceal you stomach if it is that big of an issue. A waist cincher and a strapless tube dress are great options. with the tube dress you can just pull it down so your boobs so and it will still hide you stomach. and as VegasPrincess said, looks are only half the battle.

I'm thinking that all you need to do to become a stripper is get your ass into a club and start working. Seriously. I see nothing you need to worry about.

I have seen that advised several times when i researched the whole hiding the tummy thing.. but i havent ever seen anyone actually DO it ... the waist cincher/corset thing is a good idea..can i get away with it in a nude club? We only have one topless club here, and it very country-western, which i simply cannot handle... I am hoping that this magical TITAN laser i keep reading about on here will zap my troubles away :-)
But if you had ONE SINGLE item to reccommend to a brand new dancer, what would it be? Like, is there some wonderful, fabulous product that makes you feel extra sexy? ......

hb: You have all the physical tools you need. Beautiful face, great rack. But what you really have going for you is that you are taking charge of your life and going after your dream. You've wanted to do this for so long, and in spite of some hard knocks, you are on the verge of making it happen.

People like you are very inspiring to me. I admire you hb.

I have not see the waist cincher thing either, but I have def. seen the tube dress thing. They would both def. work for a nude club, a corset on the other hand, would not. In a nude club you don't actually 100% naked. Just need to have your boobs and puss show. So it would be totally legit to have your stomach still covered.

Well, false eyelashes always make me feel like a sex kitten. But unfortunately, no, there is no magic product that will turn you into a stripper. You just have to suck it up, go in to the club, and fake it til you make it.

Fake it till you make it.. i like that
And i am TRYING the eyelashes thing.. wow, really diff-i-cult!! I am trying some wigs as well.. i think that will help me with my whole stripper-alter-ego thing.. i've been in the beauty supply stores, but they don't have a wide selection of colors. Where do you guys get yours from? I was on the snaz75 site someone was talking about in another thread.. an whoo-hoo i might just find a dress that i can do the fold-down thingy with!!!! yay ;-)

In the pic of you with the school-girl skirt, your quads look awesome! I really like strong, toned legs on a girl. I'd say just get to a club and start dancing.

I think you look great! And nothing ever toned me up the way dancing does. I say just go do it. Keep telling yourself you look awesome, and eventually you'll start believing it. And even if you are still a little self conscious and don't make a boat load of money at first, it will still beat the 8.50/hr job any day!

Sweetie, you are about my size, and at the last club I worked, I was the highest earner.

Some guys like a bit of meat on their ladies, and I always did well with the older men.

    Get in there and audition!

Thanks for the comments guys ;-) Im just really scared that i'm gonna get in the dressing room and be the only chick with a flabby, wrinkled stomach and extra bodyfat.. and i know it will prolly dissappear soon after i start dancing.. so why is this so damn dramatical for me?! I think i've got issues.. like, last night, i was really trying to talk myself into going to the new gym that im PAYING FOR but havent used yet because of this weird like, anxiety ???wtf? I don't giva a f*ck what anybody thinks of me.. or i thought i didn't.. and "fear" is not a word that's usually even in my vocab.. so why havent i been yet? I even drove past a few times last night, and couldn't do it! Please tell me someone else has been through this??

And about my weight... its this thing that i'm figuring out by reading some other posts.. i wish i could remember where i found the thread on something like a self-defeating mentality... i just quit school because working 3rds all night doing such hard labor was impossible to balance with school, and a kindergardener.. and i WAS a few weeks out from a figure competition, but i punked out then i started wanting to dance so instead of going for it, i sabatoged my efforts by eating crap, drinking all the time, and not working out.. fast forward about eight months, and im freaked about walkin in the damn GYM..wtf?? Its like every time i get close to accomplishing something, i freeze..and then f*ck it up. Aw lawd, where is Dr. Phil when ya really need him?!

are u trying to work at like a super high status famous club? Because... half the girls i work with are not not not skinny, not not not gorgeous, not not not 20 years young. so... i think you have too high expectations. it all about attitude!
just go in! i bet you look better than most of the girls in there anyways.

Apparently, i am making up excuse after excuse to NOT go try for a dancing job. WTF? I HATE EXCUSES. I hate weakness. Why am i doin this? ugggrrrhh.....
I've been searching through what to expect as far as the audition, and what to pack etc etc... i am giving myself thru the end of March to work out & gain some stamina (i don't see how you guys DO it!) and f*ck it, i'm just gonna go for it. Even if i don't do well moneywise, and even if i decide i suck at it and its not for me.. after reading my own posts, i think the initial step is more of a theraputic/get over yourself/face your fears type of thing than anything else, and i think that is going to be my breakthrough! Thank you guys or the non-judgemental support!

Stick deodorant for your bikini line! I don't know if that makes me feel extra sexy, but it sure makes me feel like... a stripper.

Anyway, go check the clubs in your area out with a friend. You will see all of the dancing girls there in all of their beautiful flawed splendor and probably stop stressing about whatever 20 pounds you think you have to lose. You can also meet some of the girls and ask them the questions you have. Then you can do a shot of tequila and have them call the manager over to set you up an audition... which you can then flake out on if you want. It's a strip club; they understand flaking out. Just ease yourself into it a bit before you audition, it's less intimidating that way.

Just do it. You do not need to wait at all. You need to put a big smile on your face and go do it.

I've done that loading job in the past- that shit is NO joke. I knew a few who did those shifts back to back to pick up more money. I am far from laxy (when I want to be lol) and I couldn't do it.

Good luck...get out there and make you rmoney.
