Default Financing a BA while unemployed?

I just need a bit of advice. I would like to have my BA very soon, but I recently lost my job. I need to finance the surgery but every place I've checked want to verify employment. Is there any way around this?

    Yes, somewhat.
You can put it on a credit card. You can get someone to lie for you about your place of employment. You can save up and pay cash. The 3rd option is the best imo.

Why would you want to get a BA and rack up debt when you're unemployed and broke?

this sounds like an unwise decision. Why dont you find employment first?

I really want the BA from this particular Doctor in Virginia, and seeing as I'm moving to Vegas in June, I figured it'd make more sense to get it before then. I receive unemployment compensation and deferred all of my other bills, so I have the money to make the payments even without dancing. I don't plan on getting a "regular" job anytime soon because of the fact that I am moving. I do however, plan on dancing at a few local clubs before the move. I just don't want to dance for a couple of weeks and then have to stop to recover from the BA. So I'll be able to make payments immediately; but I won't be able to verify employment in order to get financing.

Thanks buddy, and thanks for initially, expressing concern about my decision. I definately need that in my life and I'm so happy that I can find it here.

also keep in mind that, unlike cars and houses, financed breast implants cannot be repossessed or foreclosed on !

I was sooooo, waiting for you to show up Mel. LOL. You make a great point. I actually was comtemplating doing what was suggested and just saving up the cash. It's only $5950 (all included), so does it really make sense to pay interest on such a small amount?

^^^^ That's what I thought. Does that seem pretty cheap for a BA? I'm not sure how much they normally cost.

Care Credit has one year financing deals sometimes, I used it for dental stuff a while back and it was one year same as cash.

The cost of a BA is largely dependent on popularity of doctor, location, type of BA, his/her own skill, time of year etc. Ftr, I paid close to that for my 1st BA.

Just curious who you're going to. I'm getting my BA done in 3 weeks by a DR. in VI. You can PM me if you'd like. I could also refer him to you if things go well. I really have liked him so well!

I am financing as welll, and I believe it to be worth it also., However, I am employed and have another in my life that is financially well off. I don't have much of the worry factor.

Care Credit normally does 1 year financing interest free, which sounds perfect for you. I used them and was very happy. I just made sure to have everything paid off before the 1 year mark and was able to avoid any interest fees.

Personally, I'd be worried if I didn't have extra money saved up. What if something goes wrong and you need to redo them? Maybe I'm just extra cautious. I'm totally not trying to scare you!

Some doctors will not accept the one year interest free option. It's an additional amount they have to pay to care credit to offer that option, and it's usually not very lucrative to them. I learned this the hard way, when I decided to finance I wanted the interest free plan, but my DR. didn't allow it. So I'm just going to make large payments immediately and drive my interest down.

OMG. I feel so stupid. I am new to this community. I am actually a college student, but not doing so well. I saw this thread and I thought BA was a college degree, I thought, cool.. dancers with higher education, like me! but then I realized, silly me, that the BA did not stand for a college degree but Breast Augmenation. LOL. I feel so dumb sometimes.

So, for curiosity, which BA is more beneficial in the end?

Should I struggle and continue with my college BA or say screw it and use the money on the other BA?
