    Default Saying Thank you

If it is a slow night, and a custie is sitting at the bar watching the stage, but tipping $5 at a time, and average of $10 per stage shift, would you make a point to thank him when you get of stage?
I ask, because I was at the club Last night doing just that and not one dancer said thank you all night, Untill the last one that was on stage as I was getting ready to leave...1 girl out of 5

I try to make a point to always say thanks. Especially, if you come up to the stage to tip me, even if it was a dollar.

For that amount, hell yes I would have come by to thank you...and then ask you for a dance.

Did you leave the stage after tipping and walk off to the bar/bathroom/whatever? A lot of times I've wanted to chat up a guy that tipped me well on stage but I didn't know where he walked off to.

And some clubs have rules that dancers can't approach guys tipping at the stage to ask them for dances.

I do try to thank good tippers for showing me love on stage. The only exceptions would be if someone asked me to come dance for them, in which case as soon as I get off stage I'm beelining for that customer, or if I needed to go backstage for any reason. I'm sorry your nice spendiness went unrewarded.

I say thank you immedietly, while they are giving me the money. I don't like to approach them at the stage, because it interferes with girl dancing at that moment.
If they return to there seat then I make it a point to go to them and thank them again for coming to my stage during my tip walk. Usually it gets me another dollar or two.

I was sitting at the bar, but right where the dancers come off stage. I walked up to the the tip rail made eye contact, and then left the 5 and when back to my seat.
The one girl that did thank me, did ask me for a dance, but I was in work cloths, and didnt want to have her dance for me when I was all dirty, so I thanked her for thanking me, and then tipped her $50 for being the only lady so acknowledge the the stage tip

I thank any customer that tips me, regardless of the amount (well, unless you're being a douche and throwing change).

Yeah, I thank every customer AT THE TIME, in hopes the positive reinforcement will engender future good behavior. If you tipped me more than $1, I would also offer you a dance. So yeah, I agree that the lack of acknowledgement is weird. But whatchagonnado?

Huh that's weird. I'm almost always thanked for my tips. I don't always get post-stage attention, but very nearly always thanked when I tip them on stage.

i thank every single person who tips me anything on stage when they tip me as well as after my set. the only exception is if they were rude in some way. i even do this if one of them asked me for a dance. i'll go up to him first and tell him i'm going to "thank everyone for my tips real quick" and then i come back.

Right after a guy tips me, I say 'thank you'. Sometimes, if it's a $10 or above they get a kiss on the cheek. As I'm leaving stage I'll sometimes blow kisses to the tippers.

I got off stage once and as I was sorting my money out, I found a $20. So I went over to the group of guys who were tipping me and specifically thanked him. I didn't want to take money away from the stage though, so I told him if he wanted a dance later to come find me.

I always remember when a girl thanks me. It isn't necessary in my mind but well appreciated.

I thank everyone who tips me ON STAGE when I can(sometimes theres just so many you cant take the time out..or guys are throwing money). I go up and thank the guys who tipped me very well after I get down. Just a second..."just wanted to say thank you" and a quick kiss on the cheek or something. Then I move right on if they are are still at the stage or talking to another girl so I dont interfere with her money.

It's common courtesy to thank someone. I HATE the girls at my club that bend down, don't make eye contact (just kinda look around the room) while the guy is tipping them, snap their garter and walk away. No appreciation. I think it's rude. Ego's.

Sounds to me as if it was just a bit of an unusual situation (you were not actually at stage) and the "thanking" could not have been on the spot, but would have involved post-stage effort to find you. In that case, I'm not sure $5 is enough to warrant this....a 10, maybe, a 20, for sure (besides, they should be doing their jobs to "follow the money"). For the girl who did take the effort, good for her, and lucky for her -- she got the $50!

Bitches are stupid. I ALWAYS said thank you, even for $1. Its common courtesy, and relaxes the patron.

yes. i would always thank for every tip when i get it on the stage. and if someone not sitting at the tip bit comes up and tips a bit more and walk away i would thank them when they give it go up to them and say hi after as well. it kinda makes up for them not getting the extra attention on stage cus the weren't sitting at the tipping area. awwe i wish my current club had tipping on the stage. i used to do really well with stage tipping... *remembering the good old days*

I always say thank you at the time I receive the tip. If it's slow, I also always go around and say "thanks for tipping me!" chatty chat "you ready?" then I dance. Repeat repeat until I run out of tippers.

Lately though, I've been so busy that I leave a spendy regular to go on stage, and then go straight back to him when I'm done, so I haven't had a chance to go thank everyone. Oh wells

I would thank you like at the stage, if feasible. If not... well, I wouldn't make a special trip for it.
