Default Tipping out, I have a few questions plse help

ok so if im hustling my own custys, how much do i really need to tip out extra to the staff?
im new and no one is helping me make my money, but i know that if i tip out more then people will help me.

but it seems like i work really hard i dont wanna tipa lot more then min, we are required to tipa bunch of employees after house fee.

and do i tip managers even thow it is not required.

ugh i dont wanna be greedy, but i dont think anyone is really helping me, so i feel confused bout it. also feel like the real whales or regs are already taken, and anyone i find is like fair game and new, so i dont owe anyone

Is tipping not required for everyone? Usually there is a base tip out fee, like at my club it's 5 to the DJ and 5 for each of the managers and that is what I tip.

The DJ helps me a lot, the managers not so much. They walk around and talk to people and we pay them, just how it works. I would at least tip them something so they recognize you so if you ever need help they'll be interested in actually helping you. Obviously, tip them for helping.

How many people are you having to tip out?

I'd rather tip managers as some half-assed "insurance" that they'll help me should I have a problem then not tip at all and get no support from them.

    10%-DJ
    5%-Bar
House fee & doorman. This is pretty common. Diff. clubs have diff. tip out. I always pay out the min. and a few bucks more. Karma is a good thing.

Why don't you ask the other girls? I really cant say what you should tip out....Not knowing what the club is like or how much $ u make. I can say however that tlhe club would not function without the people you dont want to tip so maybe you want to rethink the notion that they arent doing anything for you.

you should at least tip minimum unless they do absolutely nothing for you, because if you don't tip, they'll let everyone know it and treat you really badly and it will be hell... so just tip minimum, maybe a couple dollars under and give it to them in a hurry when you duck out the door. The only person in the club worth tipping IMHO is the DJ, because he directly affects your money because he controls your music and announces you on stage and says any special things over the mic that apply to you (for example... i'm a minor, so he'll say that i can't go on the floor and this is your chance blah blah blah). As for housemoms that you don't need, bouncers that hang out at the bar all night when they're supposed to be watching dances/helping you with your bags/walking you out..... let them know what they need to be doing, and if they do it- tip them... if not.. don't. I have refused to tip the bouncer several times because why should I tip him for existing?? Once, a bouncer wanted me to give him 10 dollars just because he existed, he didn't even introduce himself to me, i didn't even SEE him all night. lame.

That is HORRIBLE advice. How fucking shady can you be? Also, they will count out the money and be pissed off and tell everyone that your cheap. Seriously, a bouncer may not HAVE had to do anything for you that night, which is exactly how you want it because then I guess you didn't need one. The bouncer is the guy who is going to pull a customer off you when he gets handsy and all in all look out for your safety. I wouldn't really fuck that person over.

Also, if youre really that worried that you're going to fuck somebody out of a couple bucks because you don't think their worth ten dollars, that's pretty sad...You'd be pissed off if a customer paid you a couple dollars under what they owed you in a hurry and ducked out the door.

If you worked with some of the bouncers that I have worked with, you wouldn't want to tip them either. Also, since I've been in portland, I've had ONE customer get even slightly handsy with me, and I managed it myself. The customers here for the most part in my experience understand the rules and don't push them, and if they do, I want to handle it myself. Also, the bouncer doesn't even watch the dances in the first place, so in the slight chance that i couldn't control a customer, he wouldn't be able to do anything because he wasn't doing his job.

I do house fee, and the DJ's tip out. I always go over the min fee for the DJ, how much depends on how much I made and how good they were to me that night. (In regards to music selection)
I always throw a few bucks to whatever bouncer walks me out, and a dollar every other time I exchange ones with the door guy.
The waitresses if I pay for my own drink, or they've been working especially hard for me that night. And definitely the bartender when they make my drinks extra tasty.
You should just ask around in your club, stick with what the norm is for your club.

    thx,
im not saying i dont want to tip people, at all.

and i certainly dont want to be cheep. and i do know that they all do a job that i needed.

I usually try to give a bit above minimum, but not sure about if i gave like double or something, would it help my earnings even more in the long run.

and i guess i was wondering if people tip managers, cause were not required to tip them

what i ment to say was i dont think that they are increasing my earnings,
so im not sure if i tipped more would that help me

sometimes i feel bad when i only tip min, or a lil above. but then i feel like why should i tip that much more. just confused. i dont want to tip more cause of guilt.

if i have a good day - the staff will have a better day with tipouts. they may not be helping you now but if they know, the better you do, the better they do, they will start helping you out.

Then what's the point of having a bouncer in that club?

I dont tip managers unless its required or they do something specific for me. Although, since you already have been tipping...they might look at you like you are cheap if you stop. If I have a bad night, I tip the minimum...but as long as I am doing well(or if someone goes out of their way for me) I try to share the wealth. Esp to bouncers...they are the ones(in a good club anyway) who will help you if you get a custie who is out of hand, who can point you towards money(guys will ask a bouncer to recommend a girl before they will ask most other staff)...things like that.

Take care of the people who take care of you, and those who do nothing get nothing.
