    Default How was everyone's day?

Sorry for the fluff post - I haven't done it in a while, right?!

I was just missing you guys and when I miss my friends I call and ask how their day is going.

So...how was your day? Your week? What's new with everyone?

My evening was short-ish. I stopped at a little diner in my neighborhood for soup and a plate of French fries. The soup was chorizo and beans. Yum.

Then I went home and got a call from a potential buyer for my laptop, so I packed it up and brought it to a coffee shop for her to look at. She's still trying to talk herself into buying it, so no sale yet. But I'm not in a hurry so it's not a big deal.

Walked home, watched some "American Dad" episodes I had on the DVR, started backing up my data off the laptop and rounded up all the accessories (just in case) and then began the process of wiping it clean and reinstalling the OS.

Tried to watch "Hot Rod" (a friend is forcing me to watch it; she says I will love it) but I got tired and figured I still need to rest up because I still have a sore throat, and went to bed around 10:00p.

This morning, I got my usual coffee and cinnamon roll. The bus to work was crowded, ugh, but this very attractive Latina or Italian woman sat next to me... and I was overcome by the strong smell of cigarette smoke when she sat down. Not attractive to me, ugh.

And here I am at work!

Lunar that sounds so yummy! I might have to make a soup like that.

Lets see my day, consists of pretty much the same thing all the time. Hubby works about 12 hrs a day, I have the kids all day, they fight, make a mess, they break thing, chase the animals, the one cat freaks out, umm laundry, dinner, snacks, umm bath time and bed time, which is one of my horrid and favorite times of the day, that is when I get to see my kids and go awww they are so beautiful when they sleep, and then I get happy cause I can do the things I couldn't do when they were awake like clean some more.

    Ah that's pretty much it.

Oh forgot to ad that the baby has figured out how to open the one gate which was my life saver for when I had to cook so now I'm really screwed.

It was a fairly standard day. Just went out to work during the day. After that though the wife and I got to work painting our theater room (the second coat at least) and hopefully finishing off the painting. I think it turned out rather well for our first time painting a room by ourselves. Having all of the theater equipment still hanging up didn't make things easy, but I think we still did good.

After that I got around to checking out Super Smash Brothers Brawl finally, since we've been painting for most of the weekend. It was an enjoyable experience, and of course much anticipating playing it in our newly painted theater room.

Philly thats so cute! I love the picture. You are so lucky!!!

A cinnamon roll and coffee sounds yummy.

I am at work but finished my to do list for before 3 so I have to look busy or find something to do - so here I am on SW. Such a go getter I am.

I'm having dinner tonight with a good friend of mine who was also my 8th grade history teacher. Its normally very pleasant but tonight we are likely going to bite each others heads off over politics. (She's very, very Republican, and I'm very very Democrat.) And this election has got us in a battle feild haha. It will be fun though.

I'm hungry. Someone send me lunch!

My day has been uneventful. I slept until 1am, got lunch at this old old drive in place called Top Notch, deposited a big check from my other job (yay!), and now I'm on SW. I plan on chillin on the internet for another little while, making a snack, then getting ready for work. I'm gonna make bank tonight, I know it!

PhillyVixen... can I just say that your daughter is SOOO ADORABLE!!

My day was actually good. I posted another thread about my money order story which made my day good, then I took a 3 mile walk around the lake, and now I'm at home bored, but feeling good I guess.

The day was good Pooka thanks for asking, hope you are doing well too. Today was my second day on the new job so Im still kind of wandering around trying to get the hang of things. The worst part of the new job is not being able to be on SW all day.. I think my headache is from withdrawal

    Hey Pooka!
My day was good. Lots of positive things happening with my business, it lokks like we're really taking off and its exciting!
Spent all day with the girls discussing things and sorting out stuff for the business, then went for an early dinner with one of them. We both looked like shit and went somewhere deliberately because no one knew us there and who walks in but the photographer we did our last shoot with! She walks over and says, "Hi, I didn't even recognise you guys!" Well of course she didn't recognise us, last time she saw us we were in full make-up, heels and lingerie and today we're in no make-up, baggy jeans, trucker cap and greasy hair. Typical.

Anyhoo, then I came home and tried on some bikinis with my new boobies which are still looking a bit too weird. Then my bf came home early from work made me a cup of tea and now we're chillin on the couch!

Not a bad day but am pretty tired, these boobies are making it difficult for me to get a good nights sleep, feelin less uncomfortable today so hopefully it'll be better.

My day was all right. My boyfriend and I were both off today, so we slept in till 2, then we got all of our millions of trash bags together and threw them in the car and scoped out the area for a dumpster to throw them in. (we just moved and our trash has not been picked up yet....the landlord who is supposed to be paying for the trash pick up seems to have forgotten to set up service). That was funny...I felt like a sneaky criminal or something.
Then we ran some errands, and then we pulled our two sports cars out onto the driveway to wash them. It was gorgeous here today...almost 70 degrees! I don't think we quite belong in this neighboorhood though. People kept driving by in their SUV's and staring at us. I think we are the youngest people with nice cars and no kids around here. I honestly think the other people around would drive right into a house if I were to put a bikini on to wash my car. "My gosh, Martha! Can you believe her indecency?!"
    Heehee.
Now time for cuddling and then Chipotle!

My day was awesome! I played with my little ones all day. My youngest is just trying to learn to walk and he is sooo much fun. My 4 year old is really funny. I swear he's going to be a comedian or something.

Then my wonderful hubby told me to start interviewing maids! YAY! Last week sucked having to clean the house myself.

Now I'm baking cookies. Its the birthday of a guy that works for my hubby and I always bake something for him to take in to work for stuff like that.

My day was good so far. I went to work and since Tuesday's publication day it was pretty busy. I got switched on to also receiving commission, which is neat! (If you live in PDX and want to advertise something, let me know... ) When I got off of work is was wonderfully bright and I rode my bike to citybikes. Now I need to decide what I want for dinner, though I could get higher first...

My day was pretty decent, thank you for asking!

I woke up, went to the gym, did 40 min of stairmaster set to a harder setting than I usually would use. It hurt, but in that good way. Took a long, very luxurious shower using like every product in my bathroom. Sat down and did some work until around 3 or 4. Then I went out to lunch at an indian place and ended up shopping for dresses at some nearby stores. I didn't buy anything. In the process of walking around by myself, though, I did manage to get myself all steamed about an old ex-boyfriend situation that I'm still not completely over. I was so exhausted from being pissed about this that when I got home I fell asleep for a few hours.

Now I'm eating a sandwich and internetting.

My day was mundane-good, with a combination of stresses and joys, pretty normal, that ended up on very high note. Booyah.

There was a bright spot in my day that I was reminded that God is never too busy for a quick favor.

I stopped at a gas station to put some gas in my car this morning. As soon as I start to walk away from my car to go pay I realize I locked my keys in my car.

Now - previous experience has taught me that my car is NOT easy to break into. AT ALL. Everyone I know in this town was over 45 minutes away and busy at the time. My net worth at that time was $24 that I was going to put in gas - it cost $40 for pop a lock. I didn't even have a credit card or anything I could have used. So I'm standing there staring at my car and trying to will the situation to have never happened and am about to cry.

When - what do you know - a nice pleasant hispanic man comes up and in broken english asks me if I'm locked out. I told him yes, I was. He says hang on, and goes to his big air conditioning company van and gets some tools. While he's going through his bag trying out different tools on the door - another stranger runs up with his bag of tools and gets to work helping. A few minutes later, a third stranger comes up, and has a better wire than the other two to try to shove in the side of the door. So the three strangers all get to working together and 5 minutes later they reach the automatic unlock button and the doors are open. They all clap with delight and glee, pat me on the back and tell me "Don't stress, mija, it happens all the time!" and happily march back to their work trucks to go about their day.

Pooka, you're so sweet. This post totally reminded me of the way friendships should work, and that sometimes all that's important is a simple call/question. You made my night, seriously

    As for my day...

It was generally a good day, with a few bouts of huge stress and freaking out thrown in for good measure. I <3 Pooka. And your story makes me rethink my thoughts on humanity
