So here's what happened:
Yesterday, I bought a money order for $90 to pay an over due ticket. I used my last $100 to buy that thing and my paycheck on friday is pretty much reserved. However, I didn't fill out the money order while I was at the post office b/c I was rushing to organize my stuff and get back to the office. And, I threw out the receipt. So here I go this morning looking for the thing and it's gone. Not in my car, and I get to the office and it's not in my desk. I literally was sick thinking about it.
So I went on my daily trip to the post office (that's my job essentially) and started to ask the associate if there was anything I could do when she smiles at me and says, "We have it. Somebody found it on the table and turned it in." I was so happy I started crying. That just totally renewed my faith in the good in people. I was sitting at my desk beforehand saying, "If I found somebody's money order, I would turn it in. But people suck, somebody would've taken that." Apparently not, and it makes me feel better to know that good still exists.
Just had to share.
