Default Do Not Know How To Dance!

I would love to be a dancer for a club, but I have no clue how to dance! I would like to learn all the fancy moves they do on the poles and also just how to dance sexy. I don't want to go on my first day and look like a complete idiot. What should I do to be the best dancer? I am pretty determined to be good at this.

When I first started I strutted with some hip - that bought me A LOT of time (helped that I took modeling as a teen so I kinda did 'runway' up there) - stop in front of customers and dance momentarily in front of them - then back to your strut - to cover or 'work' the stage (well I guess this depends on how big your stage is at the club?) and just WATCH your co-workers you wil learn quick enough what works & what doesn't. Emulate - you would be surprised how it will all just come to you as you are actually up there.

Pole work - u may want to consider lessons if they are avail in your area - if not there are videos u can purchase (google) and ask to work the pole in the club after hours or b4 club opens in the a.m.

And some of the most successful dancers I have met through out my career couldnt dance to save their life. Yet they banked.
SOme of the most remarkable dancers I have ever seen, didnt always make very good money - see, it ISNT really about the dance, it helps but....

You can dance like janet jackson but if you look like Ron Jeremy in drag - it aint gonna matter how well u dance.

I say this only to help u relax about being a 'great dancer' - it isnt the most important thing - it really isnt. There is style, appearance, personality, a winning smile, so many other things factor in on your success.

    Good luck and enjoy yourself.

Never explain yourself to anyone, because the person who likes you doesn't need it and the person that dislikes you won't believe it.

I would say just don't jump on the pole until you know what you're doing. It is not as easy as it looks. And like LL said, you don't have to be a great (or even good) dancer to make plenty of money.

If you are going for Scores Baltimore, don't really worry about how to dance because you will only be up on stage a few times in the night and the pole there, in my opinion, was extremely hard to do tricks on because of the finish so most girls didn't do anything on it. Concetrate more on moving on to customers and hustling.

I was kinda afraid of the same thing, so i get on YouTube and look up stuff like pole dance, pole dancing, stripper, and booty clap. LOL its FREE, and some of its really good! There is a girl who posts on SW, i can't recall her name..but her YouTube Pole vids are AWESOME! I also went on Amazon.com and ordered ShakeDance for $4.99 i heard it features some of Majic Citys BEST dancers..
Let us know how you do your first nite...i'm scared 2DEATH about my 1st nite too....

I wouldn't worry too much about looking like a fool...I don't know one dancer who wasn't at least a little bit awkward in her first days.

^^^ exactly. EVERYONE starts out looking like a fucking schmear on stage.

(sorry, truth.) and it's actually kinda funny especially when a girl is new (like RAW new) and super-hot, and then she'll get up there and either look really awkward or start club-dancing. The best things you can do? Watch, learn, and move AS SLOWLY AS POSSIBLE. You can usually tell a newbie by the awkwardness and speed of her movements.

Just move with the music... pole tricks will come in time. You will NOT be the 'best dancer' no matter what you do for quite a bit... grace, agility, pole-work, subtlety in performance, all come with time. Just be yourself and SMILE and that's the best YOU can do right now.

Yup! I just danced for the first time and that's what all the girls told me--I moved too fast! My gosh, I even started sweating a bit but it wasn't so bad. Go slow slow slow, that's what I say.

i auditioned a month ago. i got wasted and just retardedly shook my ass around on stage, & it seemed to work because...i was practically naked! if your clothes are off you're golden...most guys are looking at your body & hardly even noticing the dancing.

i suck at dancing, i dont know any pole tricks, & ive only worked three shifts, but the other night i'm almost certain i made the most money & it was through talking to customers, holding conversations, being authentic, & being ballsy & asking for private dances.

everyone has good things about themselves, just accentuate the positive. i think most guys like the little things about each girl that make her different.
