Default Invisible to VIP hosts and support staff??

Its been a while since Ive worked in gown clubs and was thinking about the best approach when it comes to support staff.

When i worked in gown clubs in the past, I ALWAYS offered money to staff to find me good custies and they VERY RARELY took advantage of my offers (only one smart host got me a guy who spent 1000--i tipped him 100, but the following week he quit ).
Enlisting help from these people never worked for whatever reason at past clubs. In the end, i gave up on them and still did pretty well on my own.

I plan on going back to these kinds of clubs and want to make the most of it. ANy suggestions on building a lucrative relationship with support staff?
I'm getting my Dial-A-Stripper service up and running again. If you are in NYC or NJ and are interested in private party dancing, email [email protected] with your SW handle, contact info, photo (if you have one) & best time to call and I'll get back to you asap.

If you're having a party and need strippers, email me with the details and any questions you have. Thanks!

I would just tell them straight up "If you get a guy to take me to VIP I will tip you XX%" Just make sure they know exactly what they are getting.

Go and introduce yourself to everyone.

Hi! I'm Kaylin, I'm new at this club so I just wanted to introduce myself. If you run into any customers who are interested in a hot blonde, will you get me? Thanks!

When he gets you, tip vey well. Overtip. Just so he remembers who you are. You might even want to slip him a $20 when you introduce youself so he knows you know how shit works.

Usually, all hosts split tips in a club, one thing I did that worked very very well....
One night I made $1000. There were a few hosts that helped me out that night. Instead of running around and giving money to all of them, I went only to the host who helped me the bestt and gave him $200. I said you guys all split your tips right? Can you please let everyone else know that I have tipped out for everyone who helped me tonight?
He got on his radio and said Kaylinn says a BIG thank you!! I made sure that everyone knew i tipped out to that guy. Word spread about how big I tipped, and the next night, all the hosts were looking for me.

In reality, I had only tipped 20% of my earnings that night, but they didn't know what I made, and saw that chunk of $200 and thought it was an amazing tip. They all loved me after that.

I also go to the VIP room each night when I get to work and "check in"
Hi1 I'm here...if you get any guys that want a blonde, will you let me know? thanks!

Also make friends with the bartneders and cocktial waitresses. They can help point you to tables that are spending well, and they can talk yuo up to customers. Making friends with the bartenders works well for local customers. Locals get to know and talk to their bartender, so if he is makign a recommendation, the customer wil take it and seek you out.

Basicially, you have to be the girl everyone knows and likes. ( and known to tip well)

Also...you have to work a regular schedule and go to work often. None of this will work if you only show up once every few weeks.

And remember...all bartenders talk, alll hosts talk, cocktial waitres talk....everyone gossips. Get on the good side of the gossip.

and from a cocktail waitress standpoint:

i once sent over a girl to one of my customers and he ended up spending $800 on her. she tipped me well (and unexpectedly) but ever since that i know that she's one of the girls i send over to guys who ask "who's the best girl here?" i know that most of the support staff i work with also work this way - just build up a relationship (you trust them to hook you up, they trust you to pay them for it) and everyone goes home happier.

    good luck!

Oh yeah! This is the best way to make money. The floor hosts always know who's the high roller, and I always tip about 20% of what I make, so when there's big money in the house, I'm always the first person the floor hosts run to. Plus I know how to get em back there and keep em back there (thanks hustle hut!), so they know the guy will be more likely spend more if he goes in the CR with me vs most of the other girls I work with. That is the secret to being one of the top earners at my club.

DEFINITELY be straight forward about your tipping. "any guy you bring to me who spends anything, I'll give you 10-15%. here's something so you remember me!" and slip him a 20 like kaylinn said. definitely a good idea for all. this is how the biz works.

    Love it!

When they send me to a room and I sell it and make $$$, I still try to have the customer tip them for me. On the rare occasion the customer doesn't tip them then I do it myself.

There's been other rare times I've tipped the hosts myself
At Sapphire, it wasn't enough if the customer tipped the host. You were expected to tip 20% of your earnings, regardless of what the customer tipped.
I was informed of that the hard way when after a 3 hour skybox, the customer tipped the host $300, but later a manager pulled me aside and politely explained I was expected to give 20% as well, or risk future hookups.

Since learnign that lesson, I began asking the customer to give me the money to tip the hsot with, so they thought it was comming from me, but I didn't lose out on cash.

Aside from that...20% wasn't even enough to get hooked up. 20% just made me another girl on a list of many. Tipping 25-30% was what made me stand out and get me near the top of the list. But..30% of your money is a lot, and that sucks..so if I could get the guy to tip 20, and I made up the 5%, that helped a lot.

However....I have a problem with getting myself a tip after I've negotiated a tip for the host. I feel that the guy is starting to feel squeezed. Tip the host, tip the waitress, oh, tip me also!
How do I acomplish negotiating tips for everyone without excluding myself?

Thanks. No, she doesn't work there, everyone got fired and replaced after owners changed.

They do that all the time over there. I learned the hard way to inform the customer before hand that the tip does not go to me, it goes to them, because I know they dont offer up that info. And of course, after the customer finds out who that tip is really for and asks it to be given to the dancer, they refuse.

So how do you have a customer tip you right after you've secured the room? What do you say?

I always ask at the end, which is also when they are bringing the CC to sign and waitress is closing out, which is where my prob. lies. So if you get your own tip a the begining..how?

wow, i can't believe they actually expected a 20% tip for doing jack shit (they also bitched at us for not doing it when we were there) does everyone really tip 20%?!? ok i can understand that if they page you to the room, or hook you up in some other way, but if you found your own VIP, i don't see how they deserve anything , especially if you got the guy to tip them....wow they ARE greedy
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

You can get tipped on CC at Sapphire, but you must do it at the begining of the room. The host says it's xx amount for the room, this will be charged to yoru card. They don't ask if he wants to tip the dancer. They do this as soon as you sit down and collect the CC. So I would need to ask the customer for a tip for me as soon as we are seated before they collect the card. At the end of the room they come back and return the card and get the signature, imformin customer that the tip line is for the host. My chance to ask for a tip on a credit card is as soon as we are seated, before they come to collect the card, so that the customer can inform the host that he needs additional x amount of funny money for the tip.

At Sapphire, for a $100 room, I don't tip. $200 room $45, $400 room $85-90, $500 room $120. I have tipped out as much as $400 before when I had long VIP's. This is all in addition to whatever the customer tips, as they didn't matter to them for me.
tipping under 20% was frowned on, tipping exactly 20% was accepted, but did nothign for you and was what I concidered a waste of money. If I tip 20% and it gets me nowhere, might as well just stiff them. overtipping got me somewhere. And they dont give a rats ass if they know you can hustle and keep guys back there. all they care about is their cut. Sapphire i was friends with everyone, was paged frequently and pointed out to the right custoemrs, but it was all due to how much I kicked back. On the plus side of that...I can still show up at that club once in a blue moon, check in with the VIP host, and still get paged, even if I havent worked there in months.

Anyway...things are run differently at the club Im at now, and the hosts are much less greedy, and much more appriciative of tips, and are much quicker to point out guys to dancers they know knows how to hustle them.
So I will try the things you have said. I lost my footing at this club when I had my little hiatus last year, and I've had a hell of a time getting it back and in the hosts good graces.

This thread is all news to me. I haven't sold a VIP yet. Thanks to this thread, I'm still getting the ins and outs of tipping staff as a newbie to get started or waiting to tip them after they get to see how I work.
