Default my friend has BO! tell or not?

theres this cute little black girl at our club who is super friendly to all us other girls but.. she smells AWFUL! all the girls whisper about it and last nite she even made one custy mad cause she stunk up his shirt. he didnt tell her but did tell me later. me and her have become kinda friends. everbodys scared to say something. should i; ask the dancer manager guy to tell her to clean it up? house mom? or should i myself talk to her. poor thing, i felt sooo sorry for her last nite. i walked out with $600+ on a dead nite, while she only left with $40! i know lots was because of her odor. what should i do?

Take her to the side where its just you can tell her politely that shes needs to freshen up a bit more. If that doesn't work then let her stink.

I think you should do it yourself so that you know the person who delivers the message is being honest and gentle. Don't hint - be very clear. Coming from a friend, most people will act unhappy but not angry in the face of embarassing news.

I would tell her, don't let her hear it from someone else.

If shes your friend..maybe you can do it subtley. If you know she likes certain scents, like vanilla....get her a body wash and tell her that she just HAS to try it becuase it makes your skin so soft and blah blah....hopefully it will promt her to shower.

Start a DR discussion with ALL the girls about deoderant..what brands you all like better, etc....that way she gets info without being singled out.

Or after she dances with a guy...say you couldnt dance for him before because he stunk..lean in and tell her she picked up HIS smell anbd she should put more deoderant on and spritz with body spray to get rid of it.

I remember back in high school I had to run to class in the hot Florida weather to make it on time, and quite naturally I stunk. My friend made the biggest deal out of it... I'm glad she told me, but the way she did was totally embarrassing. And trust me, I never smelled again.

I had this exact same scenario a few years ago. The girl smelled of BO very very bad. We were sitting in the dressing room and she was talking about how she was having a really hard time even making any $$. So I nicely told her that if she could handle some helpful critisism, I could tell her why. She said that she wanted to hear it. Before I told her, I made sure she understand that I was only trying to help her and not be mean - she promised she would not be upset. I told her that she needed to showere before work and make sure she did not forget deodorant/antiperspirant. She really had no idea how bad she smelled.

This is a good, gentle way to get the point across.

Another suggestion to make would be for her to freshen up half way through shift by wiping her pits really well with baby wipes and reapplying deodorant.
