    This is very important!
Yes. You want to use the familiar forms instead of the formal.

Como te llamas? -- coh-moh teh YAH-mahS = What is your name?

Mucho gusto -- moo-cho goo-STOW = Nice to meet you.

Quiero bailarte -- (I trust we've all seen the Taco Bell commercials therefore know how to pronounce "quiero") buy-LAR-teh = I want to dance for you.

    Ahora mismo! -- ah-OR-ah MEES-mo = Right now!

Quieres que te bailo? -- kee-ER-es keh teh BUY-low = Do you want me to dance for you?

    Cuesta __ dolares -- KWES-tah __ DOE-lar-es = It costs __ dollars.

    No puedes tocar -- No PWEH-des toe-CAR = You can't touch.

Porque es la ley -- por-KEH la LEH = Because it's the law.

    __ dolares por cancion -- __ DOE-lar-es por cahn-syohn = __ dollars per song.

    Vamos para alla! -- VAH-moeS pah-rah ah-YAH = Let's go there!

Por la proxima cancion -- por lah PROX-ee-mah cahn-syohn = On the next song.

Tengo que bailar en tarima -- TEHN-go keh buy-LAR ehn tah-REE-mah = I have to dance on stage

    Uno (OO-no) - 1
    Dos (DOEss) - 2
    Tres - 3
    Cuatro (KWAH-troh)- 4
    Cinco (SEEnko) - 5
    Seis (Say-S) - 6
    Siete (see-eh-te) - 7
    Ocho (OH-cho) - 8
    Nueve (new-EH-veh) - 9
    Diez (dee-ES) - 10
    Once (OH N-seh) - 11
    Doce (DOE-seh) - 12
    Trece (TREH-seh) - 13
    Catorce (kah-TOR-seh) - 14
    Quince (KEEN-seh) - 15
    dieciseis (dee-es-ee-say-S) - 16
    diecisiete (dee-es-ee-see-EH-te) - 17
    dieciocho (dee-es-ee-OH-cho) - 18
    diecinueve (dee-es-ee-new-EV-eh) - 19
    veinte (VAIN-teh) - 20
20-something is always "veinti" and then the number. ie, 25 would be veinticinco (VAIN-tee-seenko)
    treinta (TRAIN-tah) - 30
    cuarenta (kwah-REN-tah) - 40
    cincuenta (seenKWEN-tah) - 50
    sesenta (seh-SEN-tah) - 60
    setenta (seh-TEN-tah) 70
    ochenta (oh-CHEN-tah) - 80
    noventa (no-VEN-tah) - 90
    cien (see-EN) - 100
    doscientos (doe-see-EN-toS) - 200
    trescientos (tre-see-EN-toS) - 300
    cuatrocientos (kwah-tro-see-EN-toS) - 400
    quinientos (keen-ee-EN-toS) - 500

And you don't say "me llamo es" - you just say "me llamo" for "My name is".

If they ask you something about "el amor" they are asking for sex. You just say "no sexo aqui" (no sex-oh ah-KEE) = "no sex here".

If they ask you "hablas espanol?" (AH-blaS es-pahn-YOL) you tell them "Lo que necesito" (low keh neh-seh-SEE-toe) = roughly "I can say what's necessary".

chocha means pussy, just wanted to let you know in case you wanted to avoid talking like that.

Spanish curse words hold a LOT more impact than english, so "chocha" sounds really vulgar. These latinos already see us as prostitutes, (in latin america, most strippers openly practice prostitution), so they come here and naturally try to treat us as so.

I demand respect in the club and hold myself at a higher degree than what they would normally expect. (Like most of us)
So normally, I wouldn't say words like that, it would reinforce that vulgar image they have of us in their mind.
It sounds vulgar instead of sophisticated.
    Am I making any sense?

Instead I say, like someone mentioned earlier, "Ahi no." or (AEE-NO)

I've been meaning to brush up on this, I've forgotten so much. Most can speak English and I prefer to wait it out before going off in bad Spanish to avoid being rude but if it does turn out they don't have good English (or they pretend ) this will be handy.

I know that none of the other girls can speak it so this could turn out to be a great hustle, especially since they seem to like me anyway.

Does that just mean "Not here"? Is there a better word to use for the naughty bits? Or would a 'lady' never directly refer to them?

    "Ahi no" means "Not there".

If I'm in a situation where I have to directly refer to it, this is what I do to keep respect and still be sexy:

For example, if I was talking to a custy (in Spanish) about piercings. He might go, "Do you have anymore..?" I go, "Well, I was thinking about maybe getting one there...what do you think?" While I say "there", I look down at it and then bring my eyesight sexily up to him. It works. It's subtle. Then I just change the subject. I don't keep talking about my pussy. Plants a little seed of sex in the brain, lol.

OK, in Mexico there are better words to use. But if you are American with an accent, Mexican guys might wonder how in the hell do you know that word. lol. It might be amusing and cute to them, who knows, you could try it once. It's "Papaya". Smile when you do it, be charming

They really do look vaginal check it out:

BTW: Papaya is used by Mexicans born and raised in Mexico. Chicanos don't use it. So if you use it, make sure it's with a guy that is actually from Mexico. Good luck, let me know how it went

"Quiero aprender mas espanol! Como se dice ____?": I want to learn more Spanish! How do you say ___?

Repeat word until correct. Be cute as hell about it. Once they approve of your pronunciation:

"Gracias para enseñarme (ensenyarme)!": Thank you for teaching me!

Everyone loves teaching something to a pretty girl.

A field note on Hispanic men: Yes, they're grabby as fuck. But most of them respond well when you abuse them back. I've hit more Mexicans with my purse than I can count and they fucking love it. Go cute diva queen bitch on them as necessary.

^^ I agree; across Latin America, most strip clubs have been historically two-way full-contact and of course, costumers from those Countries would expect the same north the border; the Diva approach is actually quite useful, most of these customers (particularly northern Mexicans) will try to go as far as you let them and usually they would respect your limits, as long as these are clear; I'd recommend to set these boundaries in a firm but playful manner (I reckon it would require quite a lot od imagination for dioing so).

I am sorry (and very embarrassed) because I never arisen this subject; having Spanish as my mother tongue, please feel free to ask me any question about it.

Please have in mind that Spanish language is spoken in many countries with several accents and some words may be very polite for a particular subset, but very rude for another one (and I am talking about standard words, not even slang); in the particular case for Mexicans, there are at least 5 accents and 3 different slang sets, sometimes the difference of being respectful and vulgar is just the pitch of your pronunciation so, be careful.

If the guy speaks spanish, I like to add "y accepto propinas" when I tell them how much they owe at the end of their dances. It means "and I accept tips" or sometimes just "y una propina por favor" which is, "and a tip please". both phrases will generally get you an extra $3-$5 dollar tip most of the time ime.

Yes! I was going to correct a few things as well.. Also "Tu es guapo" Does not translate to: You're hot!, It means you is hot (in this moment). Eres guapo is correct.

Estar (which conjugates to estás in tu form or está for el/ella/Ud. (third person) is used when something is temporary ex. Estás triste hoy. (You are sad today) but The verb Ser (which conjugates to eres or es (el/ella Ud.) is used when something is permanent or natural. A person's physical characteristics would be considered natural.

And :"These latinos already see us as prostitutes" which latinos in particular are you referring to? That's a very broad generalization. Hispanic people are not all the same, especially with regard to how they treat women. Women in South American culture are treated very different from women in central America and poor/rural parts of Mexico and that is very different from how women are treated in urban/upper class parts of Mexico where people are more educated. And to be fair, a lot of people see strippers as prostitutes.

Giving Duolingo a try, and I just unlocked the bonus "romance" section last night that's all about flirting and pick up lines. Figured it would be the most relevant of the bonus sections for work. First thing it gave me. "Do you want to dance with me?" Maw ha. Immediately relevant. Good job, program. Good job.

I'd suggest a more direct approach for selling dances, it is because in Spanish a single word can be simultaneously an adverb and a pronoun, for example:

"Do you want me to dance for you?" would be "¿Quieres que te baile?", however, you can say the same in an easier, shorter way: "¿Te bailo?" (approximate phonetics: Teh BAY-low). I think this would be better for English speakers, the rationale is English speakers usually have problems with Spanish vowel pronunciation so the lesser you use, the better you get your message through. This abreviated style could work better wherever Iberian Spanish is more common.
