...my car.
I'm seated with a reg and the valet guys comes in to tell me my car has been hit! Yet, he doesn't looked shocked or remorseful or guilty. He says the guy who hit me is waiting to speak with me.
I get my sweater and go outside. The valet guy is nowhere to be found. I go to his asst. and ask for my keyes as I am looking for my car.
I am told that it is parked across the street and a several yards down. This street is quite busy and across is a park and flyaway for a local airport. I attempted to cross the street with no one offering to help me, while wearing 7 1/2 in. heels.
As I approach my car, I can see that it is by the curb at an angle, there is glass everywhere and I can't open my trunk.
I fall to pieces and start crying. The guy is parked inside the flyaway parking lot. I asked him (acutally yelled) if he had hit me and he said, quite soberly, 'Yes'.
I calm down and approach him and ask if he has insurance. He does. But he said it wasn't his faultHe said the way I parked my car, it was blocking almost four feet of the entrance into the flyaway. I told him I didn't park my car, the valet did.
So, we exchanged info. His truck had some damage to the side. My back driver's side is smashed, the light is shattered but still works but my turning signal does not.
He wants to go after the valet people for parking my car in an illegal manner.
Obviously, I did not pay the valet last night and I left early. I tried to talk to the valet guys and they speak Spanish as a first language. I know they speak English. They understand my text book Spanish. But of course, when they are faced with a conflict, it's all about "Me no speaky ingles'.
Also, I know this club does not necessarily do things 'by the book'. I'm afraid if I may have to sue, I will probably not be able to work there anymore.
Funny thing is, I did not want to work last night. I don't like working Friday nights at that club. It's way to overwhelming to me. But my reg asked me to come in because he was leaving town this weekend![]()
I'm going to work the next two day shifts...and then, who knows?
This is the second time in two months that I have been meant with some sort of violent incident or weird misshap at a club.
I have to admit that topless dive I worked in for over three years, I was at least always walked to my car, never had any problems with theft or any threat of violence.
I also heard the main manager wants me back. (I left on good terms)
(sorry so long)
