    Default ATL DJ License?

    Alright, so I'm not a dancer, but a DJ.

    I have to admit I've been lurking this forum for about 6 months now, and have noticed a lot of very friendly, helpful, and open-minded people.

    This brings me to my question;

    I'm currently working in the Cleveland Ohio area, and I'm looking to relocate to Atlanta. I've been looking around at some of the clubs in the area through other message boards and forums (Stripclublist etc.) and have seen some posts about needing a license to work as a DJ.

    1.) Is this the case to anyone working, or anyone that has worked in this area in the past?

    2.) How exactly do you go about obtaining so said license? (Fees, waitlists, background checks, etc.)

    And now a question to the dancers more specifically;

    Do you need a license to work in the area also? I have a few friends that may want to relocate with me, and I would think it safe to assume that if I myself will need a license, that dancers most likely would need one as well.

    Any and all help/advice would be much appreciated

    Thank you.

    P.S. Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place, this seemed to be the most fitting, especially for someone making their first post.

    Actually, the Newbie Board is for newbie strippers while Coming Out is for first posts. But since this thread deals with a specific city, I'm moving it to Club Chat, where people will be looking to share information about different areas. Good luck! I've never heard of a DJ license.

    Yes ATL dancers need a license too. If you do a search on this forum for ATL license you'll find plenty of threads about it.

    I would bet that landing a DJ gig at the better money clubs would be tough cuz it doesn't seem like the DJs at those clubs ever leave. They're making a killing. Of course DJ money doesn't suck at even the shittiest clubs so...

    Everyone who works in a stripclub in ATL needs a license of some kind. Fees are generally quite high. The dancer license is $3-400, depending on exact location. They run a check for warrants and certain convictions before issuing the license.
