Default The Stripper Gods were against me - Lesson learned

So..I have my mojo back in full force. I am Kaylinn, the SuperStripper from Las Vegas. Life is great.

Tonight I show up at work early, at 9:30. ( usualyl I get there around 11 or so)
I hit the floor, was making money doign dances....the Dj calls me on stage. On my way up to stage, my heel snapped. ok. I dont have backup heels.
Dj covers me for the stage, I call my boyfriend and he brings me other shoes. Wasted 45 minutes in the dressing room waiting for him to come.

So, I have my old crappy heels, but at least I have shoes. Dj pus me on stage. I made $75 on stage. Put on an awesome stage show. One guy walked up to stage and handed me a 20 and told me I was amazing.

So crisis averted, life was good again. Back to makin money. Met a group of car sales men. Loaded. Did one dance, was called on stage again. As I was putting ym top on to go on stage, the zipper broke. Fucking hell. No backup outfit.

I gave up and came home. Pissed. Dj is pissed at me cause twice as I was called up I had a malfunction of some kind. How the fuck does this shit happen twice in one night??
Why when I'm in money makin mode? I coudl have worked all ngiht long.

The lesson: Have a backup. Back up thong, outfit and shoes. Always.
Duh. I knew that already. Why didn't I do it? fuckign grr.

Lesson number one: Always have a backup.

Shit, I have backup TUMS. Backup CDs. Backup SD Cards. Backup Outfits. Backup Backup Backup.

That sucks! For some reason you were not meant to be there or on the road at that time - I guess.

That or you just were a bad, illprepared stripper!!! Shame on you! LOL

    Sorry that happened to you.

Look at the bright side, at least your heel didn't break while you were in the middle of a spin or something.

The good news is you got your mojo back. That's awesome! Now you can go back in tonight with more outfits and shoes, and rock the house!

I'm sorry to hear that happened. I hate bad luck days like that! I hope you do really good on your next workday to more than make up for the unfortunate mishaps.

Just curious, why did you only bring one outfit with you? At least in Philly, most clubs require the girls to change their outfit after every other set, so that the customers have something new to look at them wearing. Just curious.

Your club doesn't have a shop?

You just weren't meant to be there.

Still sucks your shoes/zipper broke though!

Crazy.....I had sort of a "malfunction" last night....
Was in a hurry packing my bag, also I was upset and me and my man were kinda arguing. Forgot half of every outfit. I usually bring 3. I forgot the bottoms to two of them and the top to one. Also forgot one shoe of my two pairs of shoes. So I had 3 friggin' shoes.
I had to wear my tank top that I came in with, pulled it up and knotted it in the back. I had that on with one of my bottoms and shoes that looked ridiculous. I felt so fucking uncomfortable I had to do a few shots to loosen up. What sucks is, I couldn't call my husband to bring me anything cause we didn't have a car this weekend, I got a ride to work from my neighbor who has a car service and he had alot of calls after me. So I was stuck.
I had no choice, had to suck it up and work. I ended up doing ok but the lesson I learned is stop and take a second, make sure you have everything you need in the bag, especially when packing in a hurry.

Well, I did techniciall have a backup outfit, but it totally didn't match the shoes I had to have my boyfriend bring me, and I would have looked like a complete idiot with those shoes. The other outfit I had wa a red silk asian looking hankerchief skirt with a red and black lace bikini top. The shoes I had him bring in were chunky white heels with goldfish in them. Total mismatch.

My club has a store, but it sucks. terribly. I refuse to spend $80 on shoes or an outfit I hate and will only wear one night.

I have alays bought a pair of white and a pair of black shoes. I do not like clear heels at all.

Problem is, of course...if the black shoes break and you only have whites for backup and the whites don't look right with your outfits.....

So...today i am buying a new pair of black heels, and a pair of cheap clear heels for backup.

But usually, no, I don't change outfits. Cause I only work for 4-6 huors, and go on stage 1 time a night. No reason for a change. Espicially cause I absoloutly am in love with the outfit I am wearing right now (the one that broke ). Guenevere made it for me, and it's beautiful and I am the sexiest girl on the planet in this outfit.

For the most part I have my mojo back too. Feels good, doesn't it? hehe

I feel for ya on the malfunctions though! It's for this reason I haul like, 10 outfits and 3 pairs of shoes at any given time. Plus stash some extra outfits in my trunk.
