    Default So tire after BA

I had my BA 11 days ago and since then I have been so incredibly tired. Apart from the tiredness I'm doing fine, still a bit painful and uncomfortable but nothing I didn't expect, its just the exhaustions knocking me for 6!

Obviously I'm not sleeping as well as normal as I'm still a bit sore and uncomfortable, but even with that, I've rarely felt so tired in my life, even when I'm working 5 nights a week. I feel like if I blinked slowly I might fall asleep!

Is this normal? No one warned me that I would feel like this, not even my surgeon. The nurse advised me that my pain meds might be making me sleepy but I've not taken any for 2 days and I'm still exhausted!

I was tired for awhile after mine. I think it was mainly due to how I was sleeping. I always slept on my side or stomach. I spent the first month or so sleeping on my back, which sucks! Once I could lay on my side I slept better. Just give it a bit of time.

Definitely the pain meds, if you just stopped them they take a few days to get totally out of your system. I had to stop taking mine 4 days after the damn surgery, I hated sleeping constantly.

It's very, very normal. Your body is recording from an injury, your pain pills are making you drowsy, and the meds that put you under, plus the after pills have a tendency to make you a bit depressed. On top of all that, you have to get used to sleeping on your back and in constant fear that you might roll over on your sleep. It can be hard to get a long, refreshing, deep sleep like that. Its easy to see how all that can make you feel sluggish.

Don't worry, it will all pass!

I haven't had boobs done, but when I had my nose done I was very, very tired for a while. It knocked me on my ass. Your body is using all of its energy to heal.
