I want to gloat about the breakfast recipe I figured out today! It's really easy and quick.
First off: I'm living in China with limited kinds of food available. I finally got sick of eating nasty processed food all the time and decided to do the diet plan I always do for temporary detox or setting my body back on a better path, which is half raw foods, 90% fruits/veggies/nuts with some dairy products. Even though it's hard to find normal food in China, the fresh fruits and vegetables here are FANTASTIC. So I'm eating mangos and dragonfruits and bananas and greens, though the greens are cooked, it's not always safe to eat rindless things raw here.
Anyway, the breakfast: two versions, the one I do here and the one I did back in the States when I did this thing.
Home version--
Oat groats, soaked overnight (and ground in a food processor if you want) -- usually about three quarters cup I think?; one to one and a half bananas; a large handful of walnut pieces.
Mash together with a fork and eat.
Easy version --
Two bananas, sliced thinly. One heaping tablespoon of peanut butter. About a teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder (the banana sweetens it just fine.)
It's like a nummy banana reese's cup and there's not a THING bad for you about it!
You could make it 100% raw if you wanted to do raw tahini or sunflower paste instead of peanut butter, too. Peanut butter is just the sole nut butter available to me here.
