Everyone says it's the best club and you can make a grand a night on fridays and saturdays and at least 400 minimum on weekdays... is all the hype true??
I'm possibly/probably going to work there next week. Reviews anyone?

Specifically...
What are the hours of the shifts??
What is the house fee?
Who are you expected to tip-out and how much?
How many night shifts a week can you expect to get?
How much average on a weekday (nightshift)do you make?
How much average on a weekend (nightshift)do you make?
What is the clientele like?
What sorts of outfits do the girls wear (bikinis or gowns)?

I dont know anyone who has worked here but I do know it is mostly stage money. I have heard it is consistantly busy.
I would love to try this club but I won't work for rockstar. Are you going through rockstar to work there?
yeah i'im going through rockstar. hopefully it won't be that bad.

I haven't worked there, but I will warn you that Rockstar sometimes does a bait-and-switch, where they'll promise a shift at a high-money club and then call you up an hour ahead say "sorry, we overbooked, you can go to (*) instead" where (*) is one of their nasty hole-in-the-walls with no money.
It was this that made me quit working for them. I don't want to work in the nasty hole-in-the-wall, and when I've scheduled a shift, I've cancelled my social activity.
They might or might not pull shit with you. I've heard that if you're a 9 or 10 they act a lot less juvenile. Good luck in any case. Let us know how it goes.
I know that it is the best stage money for Portland besides acropolis and Sassy's. I would recommend that when you go for your shifts that you get on the good side of the management at 205 just in case you wind up hating Rockstar. They may book independently outside of rockstar for certain girls. That way when you request shifts the club has your back. Possible that management at 205 might appreciate your talents quite abit more than the alleged slimy booking agent does. I do know that Sassy's used to use Rockstar until like the last year or so. I think that there may have been alot of complaints and Sassy's is women owned(or managed?) go figure. Mostly clubs that use rockstar are really like not the best(205 being the only exception and how rockstar has them, 205 only knows) Anyhow, quite a few years back I danced at the Viewpoint which used to be booked by bigdogs which is now Rockstar. The management and owner liked me so they told me not to respond to bigdogs calls(they only used the agency to get girls but when they had quality entertainers they tried to keep them exclusive) Good Luck! And Really for Rockstar clubs, 205 is the only one you should be interested in don't let them send you to their dives which would be all the other ones.
Anyone who's guaranteeing a grand a night or a $400 minimum on weekdays is pulling your chain. Even in Vegas, that's not a guarantee, and it sure as shit isn't a guarantee in Portland. I have heard good things about the club though.
You have to go through an agency to work at PDX clubs? Crap...
^^^ Not all of them, just some of them.
Gypsy will fit in great at 205. And if the club likes you they tell Rockstar that they want you. I'm sure you won't have too hard of a time getting your schedules.
Girls just wear typical SC stuff, so not really any gowns. Clientele is your normal mix too...I can't really answer any questions other than lots of my customers mention also going there, but private dances are sort of a joke, I guess they aren't really a thing there. But girls do get tipped on stage! I hadn't seen anything like it in Portland before.
I'm confused, but the Chewbacca Truffle Shuffle cleared it up. - Emily
I worked there one night (either a Tuesday or Thursday) and made $200 after tipout. The really fat guy who runs rockstar didn't like me.
Oh, one thing I don't like is that they confiscated my i.d. when I walked in.
^^Also, I don't think everyone says it's the best club. Not on here... it's not my opinion... it's a good club but certainly not the Best!
Rock Star absolutely sucks but you might be able to work with them if you demand what shifts you work. Do not take any shit from them. Just tell them you want certain shifts and do not offer to work at other clubs. If you have a problem with your bookers hitting on you or being racist you might have a problem with Rock Star.
God I hate them so much.
Rock star does absolutely suck. Wannabee dancer equivalent pimps. If you can navigate yourself through thier bullshit, you may be able to avoid the power trip. At least temporarily.but... beware of those pricks. Oh, and stay healthy. They don't believe in dancers calling off for ANY reason. Seeing as we are all bionic fuckdolls incapable of illness or family emergencies. yeah, i'm a lil bitter.
^yeah i know. i have the flu right now and I had to reschedule my first shift (which of course makes me look stellar) because i have literally been in bed with the flu for the last three days straight, and one of them got mad at me on the phone and hung up on me mid sentence. one of them is nicer than the other, but i think it will be fine, i have to call to schedule tomorrow.

It's the best Rockstar-booked club, since Sassy's went to booking by themselves. Some of the Rockstar ads literally just mention "205 and other clubs" (and promise impossible earnings.) To my knowledge, of the ones on their list, Nicolai and DV8 can be pretty decent from time to time, but with varying money; the rest are varying states of shithole.
I don't mean to drag the thread down or anything. Just... I was burned by them back in the day.A few more useful notes on handling the handlers: when you call in sick, they'll sometimes yell at you or "fire" you and then come back begging later. Don't panic if this happens. Usually they will pretend to forget it happened, which is fucked up, but hey. If there's somewhere you don't want to go (which at this point is most of their list of clubs) lay down the law about it. They take a 'probably not' or anything less than a 'no' as a yes.
Jesus. That is unbelievably rude and juvenile. That sucks.
I only was pushing this club because it sounded like you were into a stage-centric club, because of being burnt on the lap dancing, and as a minor, it may be the best for that...but I hope it works out okay. Definitely keep us updated.

Just don't take on any shifts besides 205. When you do get on a shift there be overly nice to the management, bouncers, dj and cocktail staff. Meaning Tip, tip , tip. That way it will be easier for you to become a house girl(independent of the agency) If having the flu screwed up your chances, try Sassys and Acropolis. And remember you are in Portland there is no guaranteed money here and if you are a minor there really is no guaranteed money here. But do remember, it is not the club that you work at to make money it is you. What that means is if you have a distinctive stage personona you can make money anywhere.
I've heard that there's good money at 205, which makes it worth dealing with Rock Star. I used to work with the DJ who is there on Friday nights, and he said there's almost always a good crowd and the dancers do very well. Management is strict, but it doesn't seem to affect money.

they (rockstar) wouldnt hire me because my schedule wasn't completely open. He was booking that day for the shifts THAT week and i explained i had already scheduled at another club for that week (since most clubs schedule a week in advance) but i would be completely open the next week, said how i treat my dancing job as a real job and rarely cancel shifts, and he refused to talk to me after that. I was a little blown away by his all or nothing attitude. kind of weird

Jesus, I can't believe they blew you off, Hazel. You are impeccably hot.
Well, here's my little rock star fairy tale. I was going to work at 205, it was my first shift. I walked in, I gave the bartender my ID, and a gunshot went off. For literally two seconds I looked for a place to hide (behind the bar, in the bathroom, in the kitchen) and realized I was being retarded. I ran out of that place so fast that I almost knocked over a stroller with a baby in it. I ran to the hotel near 205, and called M, and told him that I was too shaken up to work that night. He told me I'd never work at 205 again.
Later on they called me (harassed me basically) asking me to work shifts there.
Fuck Rock Star.

I worked my first shift there tonight- i made 450 in 4 hours!! It was good, only 6 girls- on stage for 3 songs, off for 3--- lots of dancing!! I am so tired and my whole body hurts-- definitely a lot more exercise than the dolphin.
So... i talked to rockstar and they said they like me, but i have to lose weight to work the friday or saturday night shifts but i'm okay to work all the other night shifts.
ugh. that just makes my self-esteem great doesn't it?? I just had a great night and made money and then they call me to talk about scheduling and mention that i need to lose weight to work friday and saturday. you know, if i'm going to be working three nights a week dancing the way they dance at 205, i'm going to lose weight ANYWAYS, they don't need to say that. it makes me feel bad.
but overall they were nice, the staff were nice, the girls were nice, the customers were nice.

Telling you to lose weight is, um, fucked up, because you're pretty skinny. I think this might be an instance of them wanting to get under your skin.

Jesus, I don't think you need to lose any weight either. That is absurd.
